Re: Problem with Login/Registering - Please Help!

Robert, No, they did not tell me but I have a very good idea as to why... A couple of weeks ago, I had an issue with them and they actually suspended my account due to email spamming. After fighting with them and letting them know I had nothing to do with it, they enabled my account again after very...

Re: Problem with Login/Registering - Please Help!

Thanks for the reply. Where should I start? What files and/or directories are linked to this particular area?

Thanks again,

Problem with Login/Registering - Please Help!

Hello all, I recently discovered an issue with my forums and need some help trying to fix it. I've found that all of the sudden I'm unable to login nor can anyone register as a new member on the site. The forums load fine and you can browse them fine as well. Just have a serious issue in these two a...

Re: Forum Hacked by Spammers - Please help!

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for the tip! However, when switch back to forum from category and setting permissions as you stated, I get a "No New Posts" before the title of that parent forum. Please see pic attached. How can I get rid of the "No new posts"?

Thanks,

Re: Forum Hacked by Spammers - Please help!

Thank you all. I'm an idiot. The reason I stated it was an "unknown section" is because I thought I had the set forum to only post in the subs. I have switch it to category, although I preferred the other layout better. I did thorough read the link to fighting spam you guys provided above. However, ...

Re: Forum Hacked by Spammers - Please help!

Hello,
Thanks for the prompt reply.

It is hacked. You see, that whole bottom section is not part of my forum at all nor is it present in Admin Panel. Right above it are all the sub-forums that are part of it. This bottom section is just there, with no option to remove it.

Re: Please help with Google and 404 pages...

Thanks guys,
It worked and I do get the proper status when checking via your link.

Unfortunately, a number of links don't exist under the new forums. Probably from upgrade to V3?

What can be done with these and Google?

Thanks,

Re: Please help with Google and 404 pages...

Alright,

It seems to be working but only with the root path...

For example,
domain/phpBB goes to domain/forums

However, the longer paths that have more after the "/phpBB" do not redirect.

Do I need to set a wildcard for "/forums" somehow?

Thanks,

Re: Please help with Google and 404 pages...

No, it doesn't change it. If I change it manually, it finds the page.

Yes, it is an apache server that allows .htaccess files. My host is 1and1

Any ideas?

Re: Please help with Google and 404 pages...

OK,
I have uploaded the new file.

However, if I go to Google and click on one of the phpBB links it shows with a 404 error, I still get a page not found. When does this take effect or redirect?

Thanks,

I just did. Thank you so much.

Is there anything I need to do in Google Webmaster Account now?

Thanks again,
