Re: Thanks for posts

Try this: download the file from the following link and replace it directly in your root folder. thankslist.php (don't click "Save Target As..") This could be caused by your editor adding extra white spaces which cause this error. Notepad++ is great when editing php files and doesn't add extra whit...

@ w00t: I am afraid that both your code and Verusnja's code is giving me the following error when I view thankslist.php: [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /thankslist.php on line 258: Undefined variable: select_single [phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 4300: Cannot mod...

Re: Summer time (DST) has baffled me

I've a similar issue. Members of the forum I run have emailed me this afternoon to say that, following the change to British Summer Time at the weekend, the Board Index is showing the wrong time and alerts they're receiving about messages having been posted are also showing the wrong time. I did th...

Re: [Split From] Install PHPBB3 on local machine

Other way round, Steve. Basically I've taken a backup of the live database and intend to import that into the local database. I'm guessing that some of the tables will include absolute URLs pointing to the live environment so what I don't want to do is make changes locally that could screw up the l...

Re: Got problem when have two forum in the same server

it sounds like both the forums are using the same cookie settings. Make sure that each forum is using a unique cookie and it should stop this happening.

Re: Thanks for posts

It is 1.1.2 of the Karma mod I have installed I looked karma mod. Sorry, but is unlikely to get anything done. Thanks mod allows the rating of specific messages, which is obtained through the top authors of these messages (users). Karma mod installs rating users depending on the attitudes of other ...

Re: Karma MOD

Odd question, but I've decided to un-install the Karma mod from one of my boards due to disuse and I'm not sure how to undo the SQL changes, partially because I don't know what changes were made. Is it just certain tables which can be dropped? Or is there more to it than that? Note that I love the ...

Re: Karma MOD

I love this MOD, but I have had to uninstall it due the previously mentioned performance issues with viewtopic.php. The time taken for the database queries seem to get worse with the more Karma that a user has given. One of my users had given Karma over 1100 times and the delay for him when opening ...

Re: Time did not switch w/ DST

As well as the admin having to apply DST settings manually, all the users will need to also do this individually.

I can recommend the following MOD which automates DST changes:

Re: Karma MOD

Further to my previous post, I have identified some other users on my board that are having this problem.

It seems to be that the more Karma a user has given, the longer it takes to run that query when they view a topic. I have probably given about 300 Karma points and others will be the same.

Re: Karma MOD

Hello m157y, I am having a couple of issues that perhaps you could help with. I am using Karma 1.2.3 on 3.0.7, both fresh installations. 1. I am finding that when viewing threads, that they can be slow to open (up to 7 or 8 seconds). This does seem to be caused by the Karma MOD as disabling Karma fi...
