ooOOOoohh it worked! sorry, the problem was that I did your first step, and, after it didn't work, I changed everything back. THEN I did your second step....but now I did both together in order and it worked :D

I followed your instructions and changed $phpbb_root_path = './'; to $phpbb_root_path = './forum/'; So..I deleted it from /forum, and put the edited version with $phpbb_root_path = './forum/'; under www. The only result was thatdid not change, and it linked to the forum rather than the other home pa...

Open bb3portal.php for editing (download it from your FTP and open it), find $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './'; and replace it with $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './forum/'; Delete bb3portal.php from the forum/ directory. ...

arcade and a chatbox..and some others...mmm this is probably because of a mod. Can someone temporarily change their username on their own forum as admin to make sure its not just me?

Also I changed the username via ACP..and now as admin even though I have permission to change my username NOT via acp, I don't have that option. Pileup from this bug?

yea it has nothing to do with that...when I change other users' names this does not occur. Can anyone else try this so I can know if its a bug?

username change issue.

I can change usernames fine. But if I change my own username(i am the admin) it doesn't change in the index.php(main forum page), but it DOES appear changed in the viewforum.php. Also, if I am online, it displays my old username.......
