Re: phpBB in georgian language

It seems that the translation was never done: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=659365&hilit=georgian You will have to translate everything in the language folder and also create some images for the interface buttons. If you have a test installation (which I recommend), you can ed...

Re: Norwegian translate for phpBB 3.0.11 ?

The good thing about Transifex is that they can read a lot of different formats and provide you with a good interface. It also solves the problems of having to manyually wade through diffs when the source strings get updated. I do wonder though how it handles the plural form arrays, you should doubl...

Re: Not sure what "Clean name" and "Clean username" mean

"Normalized" would also be a correct description, although it is a bit too technical for most people I guess. You could also be specific and use "lowercase".

Re: Full multi language pack support

It would not make any sense to offer the user a languages that are not installed anyway ;)

Re: Full multi language pack support

The language menu should only show up if there is more than 1 language installed. Problem solved :)

Re: Full multi language pack support

Thanks for the info. I always tend to ram this point home as much as I can, because automatic detection is something I have to keep fighting everywhere I go, because I translate into a minority language ;) I would also like to add that using flags can cause problems, because the relationship between...

Re: prosilver Graphics Development Kit

Thanks for making this!

Since subsilver2 is also an official style packaged by default, is is possible to get an SDK for that? The buttons have changed a bit since phpBB2, so the olf GDK doesn't fit anymore.

Bugfix: Use correct plural froms in translations

phpBB has a working plural system. Please use it for all plural strings so that all languages can translate their plurals correctly. The problem The English plural pattern is nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1) . This is fine for Germanic and romance languages, but many other languages have different plura...

Re: Full multi language pack support

Well, the mod I'm using also allows guests to choose their language and doesn't force the browser language on them. Why would you have to sign up just so you can choose your language ;)

Better tools for translators

After the current update I decided I should go through my translation again to do some fine-tuning and teminology updates. I lost the will to live after about 5 seconds, because I can't see the original and the translation side by side. IMO there are two ways to solve this problem: 1. Let the admin ...

Re: Full multi language pack support

I am all for multilanguage, but I am strictly against forcing the browser language on the user. Detecting the browser preferred languages is fine to do a preselection and desirable, but the user absolutely has to have an option of changing the language to something else. I have the language selectio...
