Re: [url] and [img] not working via cron

Well, I've found the answer, and I'll post it here in case anyone else has a similar issue.

Instead of http:// links, the cron job was turning them into http:///

Not surprisingly, that didn't work very well at all. :D

Re: [DEV] Report2Topic

To whoever's working on this, I've got a small feature request!

It would be great if, when multiple posts are reported from the same topic, they are reported into a single report topic, not creating a new topic for each report.

[url] and [img] not working via cron

Here's a weird one... I've set up a cron script to make a reply into a certain topic. It's all working fine, except for one thing... [url] and [img] tags aren't being parsed properly. They just stay in their raw format. Other BBcode tags such as [size] and [b] work perfectly. And everything works, i...

Re: [DEV] Report2Topic

Ah, right. You probably need to install Erik's original Report2Topic mod first. I think there are a few config settings to be saved to the database, and his mod will do that for you.

Sorry, I'll edit the post above to make that clearer.

Re: [DEV] Report2Topic

Hey Erik, I've already adapted this mod for my own board. It handles both reported posts and reported PMs using phpbb 3.0.6. I haven't tested it on any other versions. Features: * Quick links to reporter and poster profiles page * Quick links to send a PM to reporter and/or poster * Quick link to vi...

Re: My ACP "Ban IPs" page is blank

I see your point, Narqelion, but the problem is not with the bans themselves - they work just fine. The problem is only in the ACP page from which I administer the bans. Are thousands of banned IPs simply too many to load into the Select form field the ACP uses? If so, isn't that a bug in the softwa...

Re: My ACP "Ban IPs" page is blank

I just went and checked the contents of the phpbb_banlist table. There are only 4,706 bans (including username bans). Surely that's not enough to cause issues, is it?

My ACP "Ban IPs" page is blank

I'm using 3.0.6, and my ACP "Ban IPs" page is blank. One day it was working, the next it wasn't. As part of an effort to combat spammers, I've started banning the whole IP range of each spammer's ISP. (Because mine is a regional forum, I can be confident this won't affect any legitimate users.) As a...

Re: [BETA] Limit Posts Per Day

[*]10 post limit worked. But is hardwired. Would be easier if adjusted in the APC. It would be easier for the admin, but not the programmer! This is a very "quick and dirty" mod. No apologies for that - I needed something quick, and I didn't care if it was dirty. :P [*]New topic and reply buttons d...

Hope that helps people. :)

[ABD] Limit Posts Per Day

The Limit Posts Per Day mod does exactly what it says. It allows you to set a maximum number of posts a user is allowed to make in any given timeframe (by default it's 24 hours). It works on a permissions basis, so you can grant this post-limiting "permission" to an individual, or to a group. You ca...

Yeah, I'm looking for something like this too. I don't suppose anyone's made such a mod yet?

Re: reCaptcha allowing wrong input

Well, for whatever reason, it seems to be working now. It's very weird, as I haven't changed anything, and my first attempt was very definitely wrong. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it, and hope it keeps working. The spammers have been getting cleverer, so it'll be good to have a better captcha in plac...

reCaptcha allowing wrong input

Hi there. I've just upgraded from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6, and I love the idea of using reCaptcha to block some of the spammers. I'm not using ProSilver, but I've edited the necessary templates, so the reCaptcha form appears on the registration page. The problem is, it doesn't seem to care what text I enter ...
