Re: [BETA] Prime Trash Bin - Keep deleted topics & posts

So where can I fix that? I've looked right through the ACP, and all I can find are these options: Under General > Board Settings: Topic Deletions: Trash Bin Forum: Under Permissions > Global Moderator permissions > Post actions Can approve posts Can change post author Can delete posts Can permanentl...

Re: [BETA] Prime Trash Bin - Keep deleted topics & posts

I've got a weird problem. When a topic is deleted, it gets moved to our Moderator Log forum. That's working nicely. What's strange is that my moderators can reply to a deleted topic, but I can't. And I'm the administrator! I've just upgraded from v0.2.17 to v1.0.7, but it hasn't solved anything. Is ...

Re: Where can I sign up for phpBB update notifications?

Thanks for the reply.

Out of interest, is phpBB not going to be using phpList for their mailouts any more? Do you think it's just not secure enough? I've been using it in a few projects, so I'm keen to hear what you think of it.

Where can I sign up for phpBB update notifications?

Where can I sign up for phpBB update notifications? I used to be on the mailing list, but since the phpBB servers got hacked, I believe they dropped that mailing program. It was a pure fluke I discovered there was an upgrade to 3.0.5 today. Is there a replacement upgrade notification service I can s...

Re: Anti Double Post

Can you clarify how this works, please? Looking at the code, it seems like this mod prevents the same user from making two posts in succession. It doesn't actually check the content of those posts to see whether they're identical (double posts). Is that correct? And if so, can I adapt this mod to ch...

Re: [DEV] TinyMCE integration

Very cool mod, Garak. I've been waiting for this for a while now.

Obviously this is still in development stage, but what are the current limitations? Have you got WYSIWYG Quotes working nicely? Inline files?

Very exciting - I'll keep an eye on your progress! :D

Expiry date on temporary bans

We've been using the temporary ban (suspension) function a lot recently. It's an excellent way of disciplining naughty members, and I love that you can set it and forget it. The question is, is there anywhere that tells us when a user's suspension will expire? Under the Banning tab of the Mod Contro...

Re: [RC] Report2Topic

Thanks for this excellent mod, Erik. I've installed it, and it seems to be running fine, although I had to rename the install folder to something else (I called it "mod") before the install script would run. I made the following tweaks, which you might like to consider for later versions... includes...

Re: MySQL 'max_user_connections' exceeded

Thanks for the replies, guys. bbrunnrman, thanks for your thoughts - however we've invested so much time customising phpBB3 there's no way we could roll back to v2 now! After having terrible trouble with the problem a few weeks ago, it seemed to disappear for about a week. Then over the weekend it p...

MySQL 'max_user_connections' exceeded

Re: Searching old topics

Thanks, Kevin. I had to rebuild the search index during my trial upgrade, but when it came time to upgrade the live data, I'm sure it never asked me to. Given that the search was finding some posts from the old forum, I assumed it had done the rebuild itself. Anyway, I've just completed a manual reb...

Searching old topics

Hi there, I've just noticed that old topics do not show up in my search results. I upgraded my old 2.x forum to 3.0 at the beginning of March. The search returns results from January (so it does find some 2.x topics), but nothing from older topics. Yet these topics definitely exist. Why is this? Is ...

Re: [REQUEST] Automatic attachment resize

I'm looking for this mod as well. Does anyone know if such a thing exists?

If it doesn't exist, I'll have a go at creating it (because I need it for my own forum), and if someone can show me an easy way of turning it into an official mod, I'll release it here too.

Re: Intermittent stylesheet dropout

Nope, even with the fix Silverbee suggested, there is still an occasional problem with the stylesheet.

Can anyone suggest anything else? Should I try attaching a static stylesheet, rather than the database-driven one?
