I suppose he means, by choosing a language in the profile also the encoding should be changed, which wouldnt be a bad idea.

A hash isn't completely irreversable but it will require so much computing power that it's virtually impossible to reverse it. I'm sure a 20 character MD5 hash could be reversed in less than five seconds in 20 years if processor speeds will continue to soar as quickly as they have during the last 3...

It means functions.php is included two times (the first time get_userdata() is declared and the second time it is redeclared). I am not aware of any bug report about such a thing in 2.0.1 so it should only happen if you have modified code or use a version out of the CVS.

If you just point to your phpbb directory from the IIS, then you actually try to run phpbb with IIS. So you would need to configure the IIS too to work with php and mysql. Either run everything just under one server or assign a different port to one of them.
