Re: Logged Out While Typing a Post

I'm way down in Texas, so I have no idea of any Canadian ISP's. If I can get some PMs exchanged with him, I'll come back here with some more information on it.

Re: Cant create new topic + answer

Please, for the life of us, make use of the edit function. o.o; Anyway, it's possible the german images are missing in the actual language pack so you'll either have to get them custom made or just copy the images over from the english part and use them for now. That's all I can suggest in the matter.

Re: Cant create new topic + answer

Hm, one thing I can ask is if your viewing a topic or something. If your viewing a topic, you'll see a "Post Reply" button in the prosilver style, where-as the subSilver2 style has it when viewing a topic. Do you perhaps have a test user that we could possibly use to see? Under the prosilver templat...

Re: Logged Out While Typing a Post

I'll come back when I figure out the browser and cookie settings he uses. Far as ISP goes, he's in Canada and uses Shaw Cable from what I see.

Logged Out While Typing a Post

It's not me having an issue with this, but rather a user on my forum. No one else has actually reported the issue and I'm not sure as to exactly what is going on. Here's a quote as to what he said on my forum: I've found that quite often now when I'm trying to type out a response to something someon...

Re: Registration Restrictions

MOD Requests have no time limit and is completely user-based. Someone may or may not take on the request. So, it's really just a matter of patience and time as to whether or not someone will do a mod of this or something.

Re: What Does PHPBB Run On?

Regarding PHP-Nuke, I highly do not recommend that software since it usually requires pay and well.. ridden with bugs as far as I'm concerned. Anyway, I looked at a few posts for multi-forums sharing the same user table in the database, but I haven't found too much as nothing out right now is stable...

Re: SEO MOD

Hi, I notice some mods that I want to install including the SEO MOD but I can't find any instructions on installing them on different styles. All I see is how to install them on prosilver. Also, where do I upload the SEO_MOD.xml file to? Can someone help me? There are no template changes that I'm a...

Re: RC5 to Gold? pulling certain threads?

Um, if you mean deleting the newer posts, well.. you'll have to probably delete those posts first or something. There's really nothing I can do to help in the matter. And doing that by hand will probably be quite the task unless there might be an automated process.. The prune function only works on ...

Re: Mass assign premission to forums, how to make it?

Simple and useful in phpBB 3 I have to say.. (also was useful in CH as well now that I think about it..) When you go to change the permissions, look to the right for "Advanced Permissions" and click it. Then, below the link for Hide Permissions, you should see "Mark All" and "Unmark All" there. Just...

Re: Registration Restrictions

Honestly, I'm not sure on that type of restriction in the phpBB code.. The only thing I can really suggest right now is to use admin activation and just keep an eye on who registers on the forum. Honestly speaking, it's all I can suggest at the moment.

Re: RC5 to Gold? pulling certain threads?

If you have no modifications installed, you can simply overwrite the phpBB files (do not overwrite config.php however) and then just run the update. I've done it myself when keeping updated with the RC versions. You won't lose any posts or users at all. As long as they exist in the database, you'll ...

Re: [BETA] phpBB Tracker 0.1.0 (Bug/Feature/Issue)

http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s41/TwinShadow/th_acidtech_red-tracker.png Well, just in case, there's something to look at. I think it might be the table columns I have to edit probably, but that I'm not necessarily sure. That is a tough one with actually having the style installed and being ab...

Re: Setup an image as a hyperlink?

How you want to create the link is up to you. There are a couple ways to go about this.. You can use PHP to handle the link (which I have a tendency to do on occasions) or you just use plain HTML. <a href="http://www.yourlink.com"><img src="where/your/image/lies.jpg"></a> - Image as link You can jus...
