If I recall it was just some extra files uploaded and some code added. I don't think looking at it I used a MOD. There was a MOD that would do the same thing that made changing the links easier but I could never get it to work properly on my forum so opted for the file edit way

Yep, just got to experiment now with a few more extensions to see if I can get some of the old features reinstated in their new extension format and see if I can resolve my concerns about the webpages, then I think I will be ready to take the leap of faith and upgrade the main website and forum :D

3Di, you are my new super hero! Thank you for your great advice. I have now managed to get my first extension on my new looking testforum. I will keep playing and then take the big step... attempt to make the changes on my actual forum, although have a few more questions to figure out about the webp...

Hi 3Di, Thanks for that info. The fix for the Tabs has worked a treat, however I am still struggling with the extensions. I have uploaded the file but the extension doesn't show up in the extensions list so that I can activate it :? (By the way its good to hear there are non tech savvy dads as well ...

Hi Everyone I have just updated my testforum from 3.0.9 to 3.1.9. The install itself went smoothly but has left me with a few questions. 1) In the ACP i have been left with some Tabs that are obviously to do with some old MODs. those error messages mean that your host does not have a server setting correct for phpbb. contact them about it. One other thing, I have found a couple extra messages in my ACP and wondered what they meant and if they are affecting the forum in anyway that i need to be worried. Also will they be corrected once I update the program?
