Re: [ALPHA] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

One more thing - I've gone ahead and bumped this to ALPHA from DEV because it's mostly working. Once I have everything I need for version 1 in, and once things are a bit more stable and tested I can bump it to BETA and start working toward a release. As a reminder, I appreciate anyone who is willing...

Re: [DEV] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

Another update, I've fixed the edit issue, and now you can click on a prefix when you're in a forum or a topic and it will filter that forum to only shows topics that have that prefix applied.

Re: [DEV] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

Hey folks, I made some changes in the code the other day. It now works to add a prefix to new topics, and previewing doesn't clear the prefix changes. Unfortunately, I broke changing prefixes on the edit page, so I'll have to revisit that. There is no ETA on a release. I only have so much time every...

Re: [DEV] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

I have not had a chance to try it on 3.1.5. My availability is limited right now so I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to fix it. I'll take a look at those additional events. Thanks!

Re: [DEV] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

When will this be in BETA? There is no set date. It'll be whenever I feel it is stable and complete enough. Part of it depends on some template events being added to phpBB so that the prefixes can be shown in more places (mcp, etc.) Ok got it working PHP 5.6 was not aktivated by default at the serv...

Re: [DEV] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

Shouldn't topiclist_row_prepend.html be used instead of topiclist_topic_title_before.html to display the prefix in the topic list view? Indeed it is. Thanks for letting me know, I haven't been keeping up with core development so much so I didn't know there had been an event added to do this. The 't...

Re: [DEV] Auto-reload

When I'm actively browsing a forum, I tend to refresh the page fairly constantly to check on updates. Not having to do nearly as much so does seem like a good feature. I'm not sure how this would add too much more load than there currently is when users have to refresh the page themselves. All this ...

Re: [RC] [Official Extension] Auto Groups

That'd be awesome, and I'd probably be able to help if you need it. I've got a client who is considering switching from MyBB to phpBB (because obviously phpBB is better) but MyBB has this group promotion thing that I'd need to provide in phpBB as well, and it allows AND by default. I'll say hi on IR...

Re: [RC] [Official Extension] Auto Groups

Ahh, alright. So if I set two "Auto Groups" for the same group, it will require both criteria before making the change?

Re: [RC] [Official Extension] Auto Groups

From what I can tell you can only set one type of auto-group promotion thing. Are there plans to make it possible for a group change to be dependent on multiple criteria (i.e. minimum posts AND minimum registered time), or is that already possible and I'm too blind to see it?

Re: [DEV] [pre]fixed - Topic Prefixes extension

Last I checked, the necessary template events do not exist in the phpBB core. I know there is another extension that is supposed to add topic prefixes called Quick Title Edition 2.0, and I haven't checked to see if/how they do it. The data is available to that page if you add them yourself (I don't ...

Re: Create a tag EVENT

Well if you only need it for your own use, you can open that file (next to "Location") and add <!-- EVENT site_index_prepend --> in the preferred location. Keep in mind that you will need to add this again every time phpBB is updated to a new version because the file will be replaced. If you want it...
