Re: A code to allow only certain groups to see content?

In your HTML make a tag like this: <!-- IF S_SHOW_CHAT --> <!-- ENDIF --> Then in a PHP file, the page_header function in includes/functions.php is a good spot: 'S_SHOW_CHAT' => group_memberships(group_number, $user->data[user_id'], true), group_number would be the number of the group you want to s...

A code to allow only certain groups to see content?

I would like to keep certain usergroups from seeing certain things on my forum. I am looking for a code to go directly into the .php files that would tell the board this. Let me give an example of what I want. This is not mod support as I want this for several areas of my site but this is a simple e...

Re: Birthdays not in sync with board time?

Ahh is that a mod? When I moved my forum from freeforums.org to my advanced hosting they did it for me and there were a few mods already installed. I will dig around and see if I can find its version. Thanks for the reply. :) Edit - I found the mod and I d-loaded it from here and replaced the .php f...

Re: Assigning User Group on Registration

Ahh ok what do I have to do to rename the Registered Users group? Do I have to do it through the DB itself? When I go to edit the group through the ACP it doesn't allow the name to be changed. Thank you again.

Assigning User Group on Registration

My apologies if this info is somewhere but I could not find it through a search. I was wondering if there is a way to change the group that people are assigned to upon registration? Is there a setting or a mod that can do this? Or maybe something I can alter in the DB? Thank you for any help as I am...
