Re: [RC] mChat

The way I see it these are 2 different settings. "Messages to retain when pruning" is what messages to keep when the pruning runs. So 2 weeks would keep only the messages from the last 2 weeks. "Message prune task interval" is what interval between pruning tasks. So if you set 36000 seconds, then th...

Re: [RC] mChat

No I was just talking in general for my board cleanup instructions. If later an extension comes around that can import data from an old mod you could put those back from backup. It had nothing to do with mChat. Sorry for the offtopic.

Re: [RC] mChat

There are not many extensions that can import data from previous mods. I know of one, the Gallery mod.
If you have a backup, you could of course put those tables back at a later stage. Now back to mChat ;)

Re: [RC] mChat

This extension is not from the same author as the mod was. extensions have far less control over core phpBB then mods had. Most of us want the extension stable and ready for use as soon as possible and don't want it delayed because of the need to check for leftovers from mods. It's opensource and al...

Re: [RC] mChat

When trying to update from a modded 3.0 board to 3.1, you should make your board vanilla again. Basically you first make a backup of files and database and then download the STK (support toolkit) for 3.0, upload it to your board. Disable your board temporarily while you execute these steps. 1) Switc...

Re: Auto language detect

What I'm trying to say is: The dropdown box will show all languages installed on the board. Without the code the default language of the board is displayed and via the dropdown box you can select another language. With the code active the page and the dropdown box will display the language selected ...

Re: Auto language detect

I believe the language drop-down will auto adjust to the language that was detected by the code.

Or you saying that selecting something else in the drop-down does not change the language after the user has registered and signed in?

Their group status is not updated until they do.
Aha, I did not know that. I checked their group status after approving their post. When it was nog correct, I manually switched the group. I'll test with a new user.

Re: Newly registered users group does not dissapear

This happens to users registering this very moment. Not older users.
