Re: APC 3.1.5 upgrade fails - "apc failed to locate"

Thanks for the reply but it didn't help :( Paths are still relative and not absolute. Also, I've upgraded to APC 3.1.6 and the same error messages persist My bad! Forgot you've got to set the PHPBB_ROOT_PATH in the front end scripts themselves. If you've already done that leave @define('PHPBB_USE_B...

Re: APC 3.1.5 upgrade fails - "apc failed to locate"

Try placing the following at the end of your config.php:

Code: Select all

@define('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH', '/path/to/phpbb/');
@define('PHPBB_USE_BOARD_URL_PATH', true);

There is no use in pressing it daily. Every few months would be great, so basically when ever you update. :)

Re: Sandboxedness of phpBB

But even if phpBB has superuser access to the database, can phpBB send only a limited set of queries to the database (select ... from phpbb3_... ; update phpbb3_...), or can phpBB admins issue arbitrary ones via phpBB (show databases; drop database ...)? If you are giving applications superuser acc...

Re: [NORTH OF ENGLAND] phpBB Meetup?

Merely replying here so that this topic will show up in my "egosearch" ;). I'm hoping to make a trip to the UK in January, visiting a friend in Lancaster. If this happens to fall together I'm certainly interested in joining here (Lancaster - Manchester is pretty drivable) . Although this is just so...

Re: [NORTH OF ENGLAND] phpBB Meetup?

Daytime (midday) would be best I reckon...allows us to meet up ... That certainly works for me, gives people the morning to travel. Spend the day out and about sounds good to me, I've never been to Manchester. Reconvening somewhere indoors as light fades seems like a good idea. How about a pub? ;) ...

Re: [NORTH OF ENGLAND] phpBB Meetup?

Anywhen past probably the first week of January is going to work for me at the moment, Manchester should be a good central location for everyone too. So would the weekend of the 8th be good? The 3rd passed through my mind as it's new years bank holiday carried over, but I imagine the city centre is...

Re: who uses a 50 character password?

You / we have no independant witnesses and even if we do the judges mostly believe the feds and not the witnesses . I take it you're no longer talking about the UK. I am specificaly talking about the UK . Well in that case you're obviously mistaken, we don't have 'feds' and a jury is responsible fo...

Re: v3.0.8

I'm assuming I can get it off git? You can make your own release anytime you want simply by checking out of the repository, however you do not want the current dev code for production boards as there are some severe bugs, some of which they are aware of some some which they are not. ;) What severe ...

Re: who uses a 50 character password?

Remember ..... a person is inocent untill proved guilty ? Now its a person is guilty untill he proves himself inocent . You're still innocent until proven guilty. Just for my personal knowledge, I thought the British legal system was "guilty until proven innocent". In other words, if you were arres...
