Re: Do you say "You're Welcome"?

I think it's mostly annoying, it doesn't add value to the topic. It's even worse when 10 people helped answering the question and one person says you're welcome.

Re: Are you using Firefox 3?

I'm not using that feature either. I'm using del.ico.us for my bookmarks and I don't keep a history, rendering the "awesome bar" useless. But it can be turned off..

Re: Are you using Firefox 3?

XML source code. XML is just data, XSL defines the layout.

You can turn of the compatibility check in the config file, most of them still work. I've been using FF3 for months with AdBlock Plus, FireBug, Web Developer Toolbar en the del.icio.us sidebar.

Re: What's the difference bewtween "new posts" and active posts"

If you haven't logged in for a long time a lot of topics will contain new posts but might not be active anymore, you could just read the active ones and mark everything else as read.

Re: Why is subSilver2 XHTML Transitional and not Strict?

subsilver2 behaves more like subSilver for people who liked the old template. I believe it uses attributes such as taget="_blank" which aren't strict.

Re: Optimize, Repair, Analyze table...

If something is broken you might loose some data in the repair process but it won't cause any problems on itself.

This means "bringing people together", there isn't a good literal translation.. But for the Dutch it's also pretty unusual to translate things like these, see http://www.phpbb.nl (top right).

MODs that allow HTML won't get through validation anyway.

Sure, but a page load can be both right? Posting a message would still require a database connection, but you wouldn't need to include all kinds of classes (like the template parser) which even the confirmation page needs.
