Re: [2.0.20] MOD Troll

Can I ask how you add someone to the "troll" list? Do you need their IP? Maybe I am just too new at the phpbb thing but I can only seem to find an IP of a user if they have posted but not if they have not posted yet - though even as we speak I have a bot signing up on my board right now. ...

I don't plan to make one since I don't plan to switch to phpBB 3 any time soon, I have too much time and effort invested in my current version. If someone else wants to make a conversion, feel free to get in touch!

Re: [2.0.17] Avatars Secret Gallery

Hmm, maybe I should be less cryptic. Have you removed the mod and re-installed it using Easymod?

Re: [2.0.17] Avatars Secret Gallery

I find after installing this Mod, That Admin can assign secret avatars via the ACP, but when a regular member simply wants to alter a public avatar via Profile, the select gallery submit button keeps invoking a signature edit. So Admin has to get involved with routine, non-secret avatar changes for...

Re: keep unread flags

Thanks for your replys. More bugs are showing up (but there are also users who say they don't have problems with the hack, very weird) Transient problems, things that cannot be reproduced or that only some users have some of the time, are hell to find, let alone solve. I usually take the pragmatic ...

Re: keep unread flags

The question is very clear. You must have made a mistake in implementing the code, because that is not the way the mod is supposed to behave.

Re: keep unread flags

Oops, yes, the question as written does not make any sense. I was answering the question that if you mark a topic from post X unwards as unread, that your own posts after that point become unread too.

Re: keep unread flags

Your mod is great, but I have a strange problem. When users click on the ''mark posts as read' link, their on new posts are marked as unread! Is there a way to fix this? I've installed version 2.0.6 with easymod. That is exactly what the specs say, if you mark all posts after time X unread, then th...

Re: keep unread flags

http://www.pimpmyforum.nl/installedmods.htm Find "Hide forums" somewhere at the top. Would that be what you need? You can hide or ignore each forum at will (per user) and new posts will not be shown to you as new from those forums. Ignored forums are visible in the index, hidden forums are...

Re: keep unread flags

And by the way, the first number in the user_topics_unread field is the time of the earliers unread post and the remaining numbers are topic_ids and offsets from that time, right? Notice the first number in the topics_unread field that I quote above...it appears to be about 2 years old even though ...

Re: calling merlin, calling merlin...

Don't think so. The admin copied or moved five posts from a really old topic to a new topic, and somehow the copied or moved posts got a current post_time. But that's only one topic that should be messed up. Correct, if the post time is changed to a later time, those posts will become unread for so...

Re: calling merlin, calling merlin...

If posts that have been read, are moved to another topic beyond the "unread point" of that topic, they will appear unread. Remember that there is 1 entry (a time-field) per topic, any post beyond that time in that topic is unread. So if a topic is kept unread from say last week for user A,...

Re: calling merlin, calling merlin...

Merlin, an 'interesting' thing happened on my board overnight. This morning, a lot of people (not all, but a lot) woke up with flags showing every single topic on the board as unread (even really old ones that they clearly had read). I don't detect any special pattern (some admins saw this, others ...

Was that your fault, or the fault of the MOD file? Sometimes the bit to search for, is not unique, for example, which may cause problems. Please let me know.

Re: [BETA] Smiley management

This is what it should say in posting.php around line 95: //START MOD Smiley_management $page_id = ( !empty($HTTP_GET_VARS['page']) ) ? intval($HTTP_GET_VARS['page']) : 0; generate_smilies('window', PAGE_POSTING, $page_id); //END MOD Smiley_management i.e. the page number is passed properly. Also ch...
