Good Question - his site has been down for over a week now and it really is a very good mod.

As it was my own server it was the only board running on it so I guess it must have been compromised earlier... I guess I could dig through my apache logs and see if I can see anything odd. I'm also going to really tighten down the file security - the php files used by the board only have to be read...

What depressed me was that I had done the 2.0.10 t o 2.0.11 upgrade - well obviously something hadn't worked properly.

I am still getting a lot of visits of Santy-A. Either the blocking of Google takes some days (like the 'Google dance') or they didn't block it with all servers. I got taken out at 16:47 GMT on December 22nd - a long time after Google said in a press release that they had blocked it. So either they ...

You could also consider modifying the code so only registered logged on users can access the member list which stops it being indexed by search engines.

There are instructions on the board somewhere on how to do this.

subSilver compatable styles?

I'm rebuilidng my board from the ground up as its basically got messy and easymod doesn't want to install things any more 8O I'd like to use a different style than subSilver but there is no easy way on finding out if a style is actually compatable with a mod (especially easymod compliant ones). If I...

I just double checked for the problem I had and found that the line in my privmsg.php is actually:
$pm_sql_user = "AND ( ( pm.privmsgs_to_userid = " . $userdata['user_id'] . "

Which is what it wants to change it to..

So I commented that change out and its all run fine.

I got it past the first odd find in privmsg.php by ensuring that all my files were unix format (as I'm running on linux). But it then fell over at: FIND FAILED: In file [privmsg.php] could not find: $pm_sql_user .= "AND ( ( pm.privmsgs_to_userid = " . $userdata['user_id'] . " MOD script line #667 Od...

Styles and Mods

I'm a pretty new convert to phpbb and so far I'm very impressed - however theres something I've been thinking about I've installed EasyMod (which is an excellent tool) and you are pushing to have all mods that are on here to be easymod compliant which is a very good thing. But the same doesn't seem ...

ISP Cache Servers and bandwidth

I've just been looking at my webstats using awstats. Whilst my bandwidth usage is not a problem at the moment I have noticed that 30-40% of my bandwidth is actually taken up by cache servers at a single ISP (where as the 1 user from that ISP accounts for about 8% of the bandwidth). Is there any easy...
