Re: show topics made in posts and profile

The main problem with this, is displaying the "topics count" in the memberlist. While we've already added some events, that will be available in 3.2.6, that should be make displaying the topics count possible there aswell, the issue is that one can not completely follow the 'native structure' of the...

Re: Request - a bar at the top or bottom that doesn't refresh when refreshing a forum

Problem is the page loads. You pretty much would have to ajaxify every new page load. Problem with that is that you can not paste the entire repsonse body as new body as that would throw errors and warnings. The best and easier solution, in my opinion, would be to make it open in a new tab / pop up....

Re: All the extensions should have their settings under the customization tab

I don’t agree with putting all settings under the ‘Extensions’ tab in the ACP. What I do agree with is something that AmigoJack said, is that ‘new settings’ could stand out. Otherwise they might easily be overlooked. However, I feel that it is the job of extension developers to properly note what is...

Re: How to get archive.org bot to crawl viewtopic

I might be stating the obvious here but are you sure you have the ‘correct’ permissions set for bots on your board? Can they properly see the topics lists and read their respective posts, etc..?

Re: [3.2][DEV] Advanced Points System

Cause of exactly this reason. There are always people (read: non-extension writers) who want more. And once they got that, they want even more. If points are done? Shop. If shop is done? Lottery. Lottery done? Paypal integration. Thanks for posts, auto groups, mChat, pages, should I continue. You cl...

Re: [3.2][DEV] Advanced Points System

Well, it would be odd to have two points system enabled in the first place. That being said, it would eventually be possible to switch over and users will still have their points amount, as the same column is being used in the USERS_TABLE , namely user_points . You'll have to re-do the settings and ...

Re: Remove the 'Thank you for registering' message/redirect

You will have to change these lines: ucp_register . You can change them to redirect(append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}index.$phpEx")); Do note that if you have some sort of activation (per email, admin, etc) in place, they are no longer notified of that. And as with any core code changes, please write t...

Re: How to get the current language name on code tag?

You can try the following line: <!-- BEGIN code_open --> <div class="codebox"><pre><code> <xsl:if test="@lang"> <xsl:attribute name="class"> <xsl:value-of select="@lang"/> </xsl:attribute> </xsl:if> <!-- END code_open --> As the default code BBCode uses a slightly different approach ( [code lang=<CO...

I think he's modifyin core files, so then it should be possible.
That does however mean this became Custom coding, rather than a Extension writing discussion.

Re: Removing elements using extensions

Without specifying which parts you exactly want to hide, it is impossible to tell. It might be possible to set an {% if %} statement to false , so it will not get rendered. But in general, it is not possible to not render a specific part in prosilver. You can indeed use css to set display: none; or ...

Re: Getting phpbb_root_path in core.modify_posting_parameters event

There are no files in that github repository. Also, don't feel ashamed of 'big errors' or any other coding, most of us "have seen it all" already anyways, we don't judge nor bite ;). But in order to properly debug, usually we need to be able to browse the entire code, not parts of it. As you're insi...

Re: [3.2][DEV] Advanced Points System

No, cause it's not there. Exactly. to keep this extension ‘overseeable’ and more importantly maintainable we will not make it any larger than it already is. What you are "requesting" (which is ambitious, requesting features on a not even released extension), is not going to be part of this extension...

Re: Include PM body in notification email

For truncating, I would advise to use the truncate_string() function instead: https://github.com/phpbb/phpbb/blob/master/phpBB/includes/functions_content.php#L1414 You might have to check if that function is available, otherwise include the file. if (!function_exists('truncate_string') { global $php...

As mentioned, how do you want to display the message in the email? HTML, plain text, other options?
