Re: Approval MOD - Parse error?

It works for me now! The main issue was that because of the Admin IP mod, the search text did not position the insert correctly. It ended up in the middle of an If...else statement. Inserting the approval code prior to the "default" segment, where it was apparently intended, solved the problem. Gla...

Re: Approval MOD

Is this mod going to affect my whole board? For instance to i have to redo my forum? I am not sure what you mean by "redo my forum", but generally this mod is going to affect only those forums for which you enable the approval feature. Also, is this mod to approve ONLY ananymous postings?? No it is...

It doesn't work that way. Software version is not a decimal fraction.

it is 2.0.22 not 2.0.2.2.

22 > 4, isn't it?

Re: Approval MOD

My host just upgraded my phpBB to v2.0.4, so I guess that problem is solved. How does that solve your problem? 2.0.4 is VERY VERY old. The current version of phpBB is 2.0.22. Olympus is the codename for phpBB 3.0.x, which is still in beta stage. No MODs written for 2.0.x are compatible with Olympus...

Re: Approval MOD

Will this MOD work OK with phpBB v2.0.4? I do not know and wouldn't try it. The only tested versions are 2.0.21 and 2.0.22. Also: I am looking for a MOD that will require approval for new topics, but not for replies. You need version 2.0 of this MOD which is about to be submitted to the MODs databa...

Re: [RC3] Approval MOD v2.x

I am back from my holiday and trying to repackage the Approval MOD for the Release. I have run into troubles producing the promised compatibility fixes for the Simple Subforums and the Digest MODs as it is STILL impossible to download any MODs from the phpBB official MOD repository. As I cannot get ...

Re: [RC3] Approval MOD v2.x

Will installing this mod have implications on upgrading to phpBB3 do you think? If so, what is it likely to mean? I have never tested an upgrade from phpBB2 to phpBB3 with or without Approval MOD installed so this is purely a speculation, however, it would be quite logical to assume that phpBB3 doe...

Re: [RC3] Approval MOD v2.x

Can you please release the final version now as you did like RC3 for those of us who are waiting? It doesn't have to be officially validated. Well, there is nothing new added or fixed since post RC3 update -- the MOD has worked fine for me and I have not heard about any problems from others. Basica...

Re: [RC3] Approval MOD v2.x

Glad to hear it worked out fine for you! For everybody else waiting for this MOD to be validated by the phpBB team, at the moment it is not possible to submit any MOD for validation due to the changes on the phpBB website. More info here . I'll submit the MOD this week If it is made possible. Otherw...

Re: [RC3] Approval MOD v2.x

I started from scratch, doing the phpBB add ons first, and then integrating with my oscommerce application. All seems to be working now Thanks for trying it yourself. I am overloaded with work at the moment so couldn't look at it so far. Glad to hear it works now. with the exception of the "wrong u...

Thanks for the answers. Please e-mail me your search.php file and I will try to take a look at it.

Does e-mailing generally work on your forum? Which OS is your phpbb running under? Which SQL backend and which PHP version you have?

What I am wanting to do is make a complaint forum where members can post complaints on other users, moderators, admin, forum policies, etc., without any other member or moderator ever seeing that compliant, only the admin would have access to this This is beyond the scope of the Approval MOD. The c...
