When I login to my board, it says I have successfully logged in. However when I click to go to the index page, I get logged out. How do I rectify this problem? Thanks.

Re: How to post an image without using the full url?

Sorry, I dont quite get your question. /images/ is the directory and I guess if there is another directory /pics/, it should find the file there then.

How to post an image without using the full url?

To post an image using the "Img" bbcode, the full URL is required even if the image is from the same site. How do I make a code that allows me to simply use "images/abc.jpg" instead of "http://site.com/images/abc.jpg"?

Re: Weird characters in posts

The LINK to one of the problem posts.

This seems to only happen when I do a copy/cut and paste and not when I type in a new post. BTW, it does not happen all the time but it does most of the time.

Re: Weird characters in posts

Sorry, I think I've gotten you confused and I believe I may have the answer to my question. Of course the problem will still persist irrespective of whether it is an existing post prior to the conversion or a new post since the tables were converted from phpBB2. You mentioned 'new conversion' may be...

Re: Weird characters in posts

I can understand if the problem is only with data imported from a previous version of pbpBB, but I still get this weird character with 'new' topics and post. What do you think is the cause?

Re: Weird characters in posts

Inside, there is an array where you map one bad character to the character that's supposed to be there. You can add as many replacemenets as you need. There seems to be only one weird character but this can be replacing any and many other words or letters which are supposed to be there. How am I ...

Re: Weird characters in posts

Weird.... when I pasted your codes on a plain .txt file, it still shows: 1. <?php 2. define('IN_PHPBB', true); 3. $phpbb_root_path = (defined('PHPBB_ROOT_PATH')) ? PHPBB_ROOT_PATH : './'; 4. $phpEx = substr(strrchr(__FILE__, '.'), 1); 5. include($phpbb_root_path . 'common.' . $phpEx); 6. 7. // Start...

Re: Weird characters in posts

If I just copy and paste your codes, it will come with the line numbers. Do I need to correct each line in my page before uploading to the server?

Re: Weird characters in posts

.. Another way to do this is replace the characters in the new database, I made a script for it available here: http://codes.ameeck.net/dashboard/view/2 However backup your database before you try to run it, I can give no warranty when you make such large changes in the database. May be a dumb ques...

Re: Weird characters in posts

Any suggestion please? It is still happening. Whenever I copy or cut and paste I'll, more often than not, have this problem. I tried copying from .txt file and that doesnt help either.
