Re: Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

Thanks for unlocking the topic. I've updated our the board to 3.3.0-RC1 on our development server and we will have the same issue as described above. I've tested the config.yml with the tool mentioned above and it seems to be a valid config.yml file. The other config settings do work, so I am confid...

Get full parsed output from template

I would like to have the full output of phpbb from \phpbb\template\template so I can store it in memcached and generate an (HTML) output via the main caching server we have in place. So far I have created an extension to pass all the classes I need: public function __construct(\phpbb\auth\auth $auth...

Re: Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

The upgrade procedure is the same as per 3.2 (see KB), which implies also to completely delete the old vendor folder and upload the new one. No need to modify the core code, the code I posted in the tutorial I wrote should work without problem. I am aware of that, but I want to see / better underst...

Re: Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

Check the YAML syntax here https://yamlchecker.com/ Is it a fresh install or an upgrade from 3.2? It's an upgrade where I compared all the files with my IDE and made sure they are the same as the full package that I downloaded here https://area51.phpbb.com/downloads/. yamlchecker.com shows my confi...

Re: Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

That was the first option I found and tried before posting this question here. So I've done some more testing and it seems that this works: parameters: debug.load_time: true debug.memory: true So with a tab and a space after the : Using the dots doesn't work (and to me that makes sense). I can't inc...

Re: Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

Adding that code to the config/production/config.yml seems to work. When I tried to add the other options (on the development forum) that I found on your site like sql_explain: true that didn't seemed to work, not sure why.

But for now at least I can show the load times. Thank you again!

Re: Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

I am currently on phpbb 3.3.2-b2 That's not even out yet. If you're testing the 3.3 release you should post on the Area51 development site. You are correct, I meant 3.3.0-b2 and fixed it in the original post to prevent confusion. If you want a development environment, for your local test board, you...

Enable Debug, SQL Explain and Load time

I am currently on phpbb 3.3.0-b2 and I am trying to enable the debug mode, the SQL explain and load times on my (development) forum. I am aware the settings are changed for this version of phpBB and you can't uncomment these lines in your config.php anymore: @define('PHPBB_DISPLAY_LOAD_TIME', true);...

Re: How important is user friendly (human readable) URL for SEO?

Good point David. I tried, but it's quite hard to get into something that is to well connected with the core of PHPBB. I tried to rewrite PHPBB SEO extension to make it work for PHPBB 3.2 which seems to work well with a few bugs. But it could be improved, for this you need to know a bit more how the...

Re: How important is user friendly (human readable) URL for SEO?

I got the old phpbb extension working on my 3.1.10 board. It seems to be broken for 3.2 . If people are willing to help I can release the code so we can fix it together. It did have some hard coded fixes in the core. Unfortunately that was the only way to get some stuff to work as on a 3.0 board. Ma...

Re: Varnish on PHPbb 3.1.x board running into cookie problems

Server setup of Varnish is not the problem and I am not asking support for that, because there is only one way to set Varnish up server side (in regards to the cookie problem) and that is what we have done. So the other option left is that something must be different on phpbb.com in the software to ...

Re: Varnish on PHPbb 3.1.x board running into cookie problems

The test setup with Varnish is not accessible online without passwords and ip restrictions and we haven't implemented it on the live board so giving the url will not give you any extra information unfortunately. phpbb.com is using Varnish for this board so someone who does the implantation for this ...

Unfortunately not. We had to give up because we couldn't get it fixed. I hope someone is still able to help us out.

Re: Varnish on PHPbb 3.1.x board running into cookie problems

Why do you think you need varnish and why are you messing with phpBB cookie settings? As you might know the purpose of Varnish is to speed the site up, the faster the website, the quicker a page is served and the faster pages are crawled by search engines. Which might result in more traffic. Curren...

Varnish on PHPbb 3.1.x board running into cookie problems

Dear all, I am trying to setup Varnish for my website + phpbb 3.1.6 board on a self hosted server. The board is highly customized with our own developed plugins and integrated into the website. This is one of the reasons we need Varnish to speed up the site for guests. Without Varnish the site is wo...
