Re: [Request] HP/MP/XP RPG-Style Mod

Actually, PHPBB does have that. I remember seeing it a while ago for phpBB 2.x AND phpBB also has ADR, and Moogies RPG. But moogies only works for phpBB 2.x, I remember seeing someone working on ADR for version 3.

Re: Help with an if construct

If i understand correctly you are expecting phpbb to have a function for current time, i havent looked through phpBB3 function list yet, but that wouldnt make sense considering there is a php built in function that does that. http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.time.php it would be simple to assig...

Re: How do you recover from malware?

Wow, good topic. Ok, I use Symantec Corporate, SoftSpy, Ad-Aware ( The non free version (?) ) and a Spyware doctor ( Seems like overkill i know but its working so far). The reason i use so many, as it has been stated above, its because some pic up stuff that others dont. I also use tools like Hijack...

Since we dont know exactly what you have in your db, or what modifications you have made, we cant and wont give you exact code, all we can do ...

since you want the username you have to link 3 different tables. the phpBB_topics and phpBB_posts and the phpBB_users table select ..., u.username from phpbb_topics t ( This makes phpBB_topics table t, so you can use it like t.rowname_here ) , phpbb_posts p ( This does the same for phpBB_posts ) , p...

So in a sense this is like, canned queries? Doesnt MySQL do something similiar on their latest releases...Also, wouldnt saving every query in an array have some bad concequences, i mean, the array could get so big to search through that the whole point of hastening the board would not be achieved. more than likely...also if you have any adware removal programs or anything of the like that automaticaly detect and remove stuff ( some remove cookies ) you might have to whitelist the phpBB cookie.

And no offense but for a person that cant follow simple instructions such as comment the constant in config.php running a live board with the beta is asking to be hacked etc. since you cant look trough the code yourself and find out where and exploit might be lurking.
