I fully agree with you markus_petrux.
I know i shouldn't have suggested to remove those lines, I told him to try adding more linebreaks first. But of some reason his board remove the lines.

I think you should do like markus_petrux said thewizard, forget what I said about removing those lines ;)

Try removing the <!-- and //--> in the javascript in bbcode.tpl This will not look good in browsers that doesn't know javascript, but I think it will fix your problem. Before you try this, try to change the code in bbcode.tpl to: <!-- BEGIN hide_open --> <script language="javascript1.2" type="text/j...

It seams like the javascript in the body is outputted on one line like this: <script language="javascript1.2" type="text/javascript"> <!-- hideBBCode.open('Click to reveal hidden content'); //--> </script> test <script language="javascript1.2" type="text/javascript"> <!-- hideBBCode.close(); //--> <...

I guess it's the HideBBcode @ phpbbhacks you're talking about(?). Have you done any changes to the "hidebbcode.js" file too? And you don't need to change the javascript, only the replace pattern (in bbcode.php), for it to work with the other mod. (If the other mod also use the javascript function "h...

This is a recommended update because it fixes a security issue where users could run javascript code.
This version also fixes some javascript errors and has better compatibility with older browsers (thanks to markus-petrux)

how can i use this mod in ezportal It's not currently working very well because ezportal adds linebreaks inside the javascript-code. This is only happening on the front page, in forum view the bbcode works as intended. (Code below is from the submitted mod, not the one you can download above) Norma...

SirAndrew: I have tested installing it with Easymod and it works, so it should find the lines. Another mod may have changed this, so try looking for $EMBB_keys as Shof515 said. I have submitted an update to the mod that will have better browser support (thanks to markus_petrux), fix javascript error...

Opera5 and Opera6 supports the display attribute, but it is read-only, so it can't be changed. NS4 does not support the display attribute at all. It only supports the visibility attribute, but this is a different thing. Sorry I didn't know that, but I can't think of any fix for it. Luckily these ar...

It does not show the text for NS4, Opera5 and Opera6. :roll: You mean the [hide= text ]? It's not shown on any browser without javascript because it's generated by the javascript. If you mean the [hide] text [/hide], that's very strange because it's not made with any javascript, and the opening tag...

When I downlaod the file, it is a .mod extension. Do I need a program to install this mod?

The mod is in plain text, just open the file in notepad.

Or you can just put this in your htaccess file: IndexIgnore * <Limit GET POST > order allow,deny allow from all </Limit> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule image.png signature.php [T=application/x-httpd-cgi] Where image.png is the image you link to and signature.php is your php-script.

I'd recommend changing it to HIDE anyway. The other mod is not widely used and the author hasn't updated it since phpBB 2.04. I couldn't get it working properly. It's also a different concept -- a photo or text is supposed to get hidden until you reply to that message. It's application is limited. ...
