How big is that file (/home/brokenfrontier/apps/forum/cache/queue.php)?

Perhaps your email is misconfigured and you have a huge email backlog.

Looks like .htaccess file included in 3.0.7 is not compatible with your apache.

For a workaround you could try deleting .htaccess in your board root.

The announcement seems very promising. Did I correctly understand that phpbb wants to see non-bug fix patches submitted from the community? I.e. feature additions and architectural changes.

I found an existing mod which does mostly the same thing: Automatic Daylight Savings Time (DST) . I think my approach is less convoluted as far as calculations go, but I don't make any attempts to support php < 5.2.
