Well, get them to post them to the security tracker. If it is a valid issue, it will be addressed there, and only there . Also note that if it's due to MOD's, or other versions of phpBB (pre 2.0.13, or a fork, such as Nuke), it won't be considered, as it's not part of the phpBB package itself. Sphen...

Wow, wow, people! There are a few changes in 2.0.13 These changes are because of small bugs/possible exploits. So, eventual 2.0.14 for me means 2.0.13 with these fixes. So it won't be unstable or insecure. Contrariwise - more stable/secure than 2.0.13 What is this strange way of thinking. Why we sh...

Uhm... what about this then? http://forums.phpbb-fr.com/viewtopic_67346.html Just curious... Apparently they were hacked recently using phpBB 2.0.13. When reading this, and my French isn't great, it seems to say that they changed all of their user's passwords, and provided the 2.0.13 code fixes. I ...

If there's a security concern, then yes, there should be a new version immediately, but otherwise, no. That's what I've been getting at. There hasn't been a security concern released, so there's no need to hope for a new version. Exactly. In the last little while, when 2.0.11 - 2.0.13 was released,...

Why not? Well, this is why: 2.0.13, at this time is stable and safe. You heard it from Stefan Koopmanschap. Many users just upgraded very recently. Do you know how much trouble telling them to upgrade again will be, for a non-critical release. Think of how many users won't upgrade, and the problems ...

To check if there are any bad files: First, do you have any MOD's installed on your forums. If you don't, backup your database completely, and then delete all the forum files. (You may want to ask your host to do this so you ensure that you don't lose anything). You can reinstall your forum once you...

I'm glad that you have got it fixed.

Maybe is was just a problem of the DB not updating properly.

Right now phpBB has two people working (a lot). Really? They may be the only active members, but more than likely at least one more other person is working... in either case, all of the phpBB team members have and are contributed[ing]... Well, whenever I see a new commit message, it's almost always...

Well,

In the ACP, in General Config, there should be a section Admin E-mail. That's where the email will be sent. Is that the right one?

Hi, To the the Admin Panel, and in the Configuration section, find the option that says Accoune Approval, and select User. The user will have to click a link in the e-mail before they can log on. You can also set it to Admin, where you would have to manually activate the account. Hope this helps :D ...

Let's just be clear here. If the attackers hacked into your web server and installed some other programs, then no, upgrading will not fix them. You should go over your webspace with your host and make sure that the hacker didn't leave himself a way to get back into your server (ie. scripts, changed ...

Well, if you deleted those records, if someone searched for those terms, they wouldn't show up on a search. The best way to restore would be to split the file into chunks (~1MB). Alternatively, this might help you out.

Hope this helps :D

Do you mean something like phpBBforFree? You can search around for ones. It's unlikely that someone will make it for your. Also, due to the complexity of such a script, it will need to be maintained. If you don't have the knowledge to do that yourself, perhaps you should reconsider this idea. Sphen
