Well, what you need to do, is to make your computer into a server. You will have to install a web server ( Apache ), database server ( MySql ), and (probably) PHP . You will also have to do some work with a DNS so that people can find your site. There are lots of articles that will be able to explai...

Just a little note. You will be making your computer into a server. This will mean that you will have to make sure you can control what your computer is doing. Please don't take this offensively, but you don't sound like you know enough about the internet and servers to properly, (and safely), manag...

Well, the best way to find the one you like is to try them out. Just a note of warning, the plugin for Mambo, that allows you to integrate phpBB, does not work. I've tried it, and it's out of date and broken.

Hope this helps :D

Hi,

That's a weird problem. Has either you, other admins on your board, or your host changed any settings?

Hi, As Nephrus said, this board is phpBB2. There is also phpBB (phpBB1). It was the first version of phpBB, created by the same group of people. There is a new version 3.0 (development codename: Olympus). Others, like phpBB Plus are basically phpBB2, with a lot of MODifications installed, to increas...

Hi, Well, this article may give you a few starting points. Basically, you should put a link to your board wherever you can (NOTE: Don't spam. It's the worst thing you could do). Put a link to your board in your signature in everything (BB's, e-mail's, etc. Also, you should try to get listed on the m...

Ahh. Unfortunately, I don't know a damn thing about MS SQL, except that I don't like it. Hopefully there's someone who knows more about it than I do. You could also check the MS SQL website, see if they have any information.

Sorry I can't help :D

Hi, Well, there should be something that says something like: Open viewtopic.php So, you need to get the files from your server. It's the same way you uploaded them in the first place, but in reverse. Open up your FTP client, find the file you want, and drag it to your desktop. Once you have it open...

There's no way to be sure. However, there are no database updated between 2.0.6 and 2.0.11. That makes it a bit easier. You could download them all, and do all the code changes all at once. Then your board should be running 2.0.11 code.

Hopefully that made sense :D

The grey did the trick. The green just stood out too much. Now each post is easier to spot, without breaking the flow of the style. Good job :D

Your best bet would be to get a PHP text editor. There are a lot of good free ones. It will output the source code in a readable manner, and allow you to find specific lines.

Google: Free PHP Editors.

Hi, That's actually very nice. I say actually because I didn't believe that a bright green template could look nice, but you did it. Good job :D Just one thing. On the viewtopic page, every second post is a green. I think it's a little too dark. Just seems to make it a little hard to read. Other tha...
