Late switching question

Hey, stupid question. Due to my forums being tied pretty tightly into my CMS, and with my new CMS not due to be finished until well into February, will that cause me any issues when I finally do undergo the upgrade? Just wondering, as I'd like to know about any possible issues that might cause befor...

Re: Linux or Penguin themed template?

Meh. That's Ubuntu. I want a more generic theme.

Linux or Penguin themed template?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a Linux themed template for PHPbb3. I run a Linux website and would love to have a Linux or Penguin themed template for the forums.

Re: Audit smilies?

lol. Sorry, I'm a bit of a neat freak. Actually, the one's I'm thinking of are smilies I've already removed the reference for from the database, but the actual smilie file is still on the drive.

Re: Audit smilies?

Well, I *could* do that for certain, but the thing is, I don't know which ones to delete short of doing a "by hand" audit, and that'd take hours. I want something that's essentially a drop in script that can tell me what files are not being used so I can go delete them by hand, or let the script del...

Re: Audit smilies?

Well, I know about that. But it only removes the database entry. It *does not* remove the physical image file, and that's what I'm after. I want to get rid of the extra, unused image files.

Audit smilies?

Just wondering if there's a simple way to audit my smilies, and see which are in use, and which aren't. Also, if there's a way to remove the ones that aren't, or at least let me choose which to remove, that'd be great.

Changing PM notification behavior

Is there a way to change the PM notification system so that instead of removing the notification at the top of the page when someone views their PM inbox, it instead keeps listing the number of unread PM's at the top until someone's read them all? I've got members who view the inbox, then forget the...

Re: Looking for two mods - do these already exist?

A_O_C: Well, I was looking for separate voting on individual posts (ie, rate that post) and a reputation for the individual user separate from any posts or threads.

Dellsystem: That's a great start. I don't know if it'll do everything I need, but I'll definitely give it a spin. :)

Looking for two mods - do these already exist?

Ok, looking to add two things to my forums, and I'm looking to see if these already exist, or if I'll need to create them myself. The first is a digg style reply voting system. If you look at this page on digg and look at where the comments are and the little red thumbs down and green thumbs up, I w...

Re: Sort search results?

Yeah, that'd be one way that I'd like to see. The other reason for this comes with the "posts with no replies" search result. There's no way to sort by anything using that, and I'd like to give people that option.

Sort search results?

Ok, I don't think there's a mod for this, but I figure to ask anyways. But is there a mod that will allow me to sort search results? I want to be able to allow users to sort their search results based on forum, user, date, etc. If there's already a mod, can someone point me to it, because I searched...

Re: Deleting users through MyPhpAdmin?

They will. But you'll just have a lot of orphaned data with no associations. It likely won't ever hurt you, but at the same time it's taking up space that can be used for other things. I don't know if anyone's got any scripts that would check for orphaned data, but if they did, I'd love to give it a...

Re: [BETA] Antispam for all fields (updated: 18-04-2007:V1.2.6)

pong38: There's no bulk banning option. I've found by now that block banning IP's works best. IE, say you get a lot of spam attempts from the subnet of 75.56.24.0/24. If you do, just ban that whole block and you're good. Otherwise, don't bother with banning IP's. The reason I say that is because ver...
