IP is not the same.

Code: Select all

echo $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];
in the newsfeed.php file produces my own IP. Not host.

BTW the link I posted. It generates 4 possible .htaccess edits.
Try another one.

The first one worked for me.

That is more like what I was after starfoxtj.

Like when the "hacking attempt" message appears for the phpBB .php files. I want to protect my newsfeed.php file. It is a rss news feed, fed into an iframe and the newsfeed.php file is called from the portal iframe .

Trouble is how .

Thanks for the replies. @ mad-manne. Search produced nothing useful. @BondGamer. .htaccess was the clue. Search led me to this....... RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?yourdomain.com(/)?.*$ [NC] RewriteRule .*\.(gif|jpg|jpeg|bmp|php)$ http://yourdomain.com [R,NC http://ww...

.php file protection

I have newsfeed.php file and I'd like to protect it from hotlinking

How can I stop the newsfeed.php file from being accessed directly from a browser address bar, but still allow it to be called from within phpBB 2.0.13

Example
http://www.mydomain.com/forum/newsfeed.php

That looks fine to me. I can insert the email addy.

The redirect after sending the email, I'd like to be similar to the redirect when you post a reply on the forum.

ie "Your email has been sent successfully"
then after a few seconds redirect to the forum index.

Thanks very much for this . :D

This is what you are after, simple to install and easy to work with.

Look for ezPortal v2.1.8b in the downloads.

Thanks darkassasin93

The above MOD works. I would like to have a thank you message displayed after you submit the email and then a redirect to the viewforum page.

A message and redirect like when you post a reply to a topic if that is possible.

TIA

Feedback/contact form

Is there a MOD for a simple feedback form ?

I have installed this one http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/3096
It works, but it is very basic and does not display a thank you or closedown/return to the index page after use.

I'd like something a bit more user friendly

TIA

Member Redirect at log in

Hi
Is there a MOD that will direct an individual member to a certain page immediately once they log in ?

Like direct one partcular member to the rules or an Admin Message.
