Re: editable forms in post?

An youtube bbcode tag is an embedded flash with aditional restrictions that only allow people to embed flash that comes from youtube. The html replacement looks something like this: <object width="425" height="350"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}"></param> <embed src="ht...

Re: HTML code for home page

/styles/<style>/template/overall_footer.html or /styles/<style>/template/index_body.html
Probably you want to strip these BEGIN and END "comments" out 'cuz they have special meanings for the phpbb template engine.

Re: editable forms in post?

The simple fact it allows javascript is enough security risk.
You must never allow your users to embed html (forms, scripts...) without many strong restrictions. (That's what bbcode does).

You're always able to see the custom profile fields through ACP, even if it's hidden.

Re: editable forms in post?

When you define a bbcode you define its html replacement. Thus you can use bbcode to do everything you can do with html with the difference that you have absolute control of the html format. But... why would you need to allow your users to create their own form and how would you treat the info sent ...

Re: Change Group's forum permission programatically

Thats why rolles exists, you should set a role for a group, and then modify that role, instead of all permissions for all forums. Thanks I just started exploring all the power of rolls ;) However, I still have a question: When I selecet a group, then several forums I am presented with a long list of...

Re: Where is this query from?

Very odd.

You can edit the /includes/db/ files to make it log certain queries. Use $_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME'] to log the "running" file that called the query.

Re: check for global moderator and regular moderator

Use auth:acl_getf_global() to find out if the user has the permission in any forum or globally. Examples: $user_level = ($auth->acl_get('a_')) ? 'admin' : ($auth->acl_get('m_')) ? 'globalmod' : ($auth->acl_getf_global('m_')) ? 'mod' : 'regular'; $user_level = ($auth->acl_get('a_')) ? 'admin' : (!$au...

Re: Import from external Database (source db is not phpbb)

You would have to explain what exactly each table/field mean (the concept of category/forum seems to be different). I also suggest you to create the categories and forums through ACP, as Dick said. Importing users must be easy. Read the data from your old db, put it in an associative array and call ...
