Re: Change Group's forum permission programatically

I'm trying to say that auth_admin::acl_set() does the work for you. well... let's say you already have the group id, forum id's and the permission option $group_id = 12; $forum_id = array(0, 12, 18, 21, 15); $auth_option = array('f_poll' => 1); and that you're integrating with php (so you probably h...

Re: Help about "mode=leaders"

The leaders mode is based on permissions. If you want to show a list of membership I suggest you to add a new mode, let's say showgroups (ha!) to memberlist.php.
group_memberships() is almost everything you need.

Re: error code when posting

It's odd. utf8_str_replace() is defined in /includes/utf/utf_tools.php which is included by common.php. If it's calling an instance of dbal_*, I assume common.php is included. So any chance you have removed the utf_tools.php include line from common.php?

Re: does phpbb3 limit the number of main forums (categories)

Sorry to revive an old topic, but i'm having the same issue right now in my forum. It seems that i can only add 4 categories. Can someone help me? Please PM! How does it seem? First off all the permissions, double/triple check your permissions on those categories. Secondly, are those missing catego...

Re: Help about "mode=leaders"

The Team page is an alias for Administrators and Moderators. It lists everyone who has any a_ or m_ permission and, in the case of m_, in which forums the user has the permissions. You would have to edit memberlist.php to show users without administration/moderation power. Edit It has nothing to do ...

Re: Importing single forum topics from old site?

I would do it in the following way: 1 Backup your old _topics table 2 Delete every row with forum_id <> your_forum_id 3 Backup your old _posts table 4 Delete every entry that contains a topic_id that does no longer exist in the _topic tables. 5 Make a rotine/loop to read every line in the _topics ta...

I think it's more a MOD Writers Discussion topic, as I guess he wants to handle this price (like storing in db, applying restrictions...).

Re: Change Group's forum permission programatically

You can pass an array to auth_admin::acl_set() as the $forum_id. auth_admin::acl_set($ug_type, $forum_id, $ug_id, $auth, $role_id = 0, $clear_prefetch = true) $ug_id may also be an array of ids. $ug_type is 'user' if $ug_id contains ids of users or 'group' if it contains ids of groups. $auth is an a...

Re: Force executing email queue

I guess so.
cron.php checks if (time() - $config['queue_interval'] <= $config['last_queue_run']) and only call queue::process() if not. queue::process() only sets $config['last_queue_run'] to "now".

Re: creating forums, my choices don't stick
