Re: Starting over..

There is just a facebook login mod. Thats why I thought a clean install would be better (get rid of everything apart from posts, forums and members).

So bearing all that in mind, would your first method work or would I have to somehow breakdown and save the data I need?

Re: Starting over..

That was my first thought, but I installed a fresh forum in a sub-folder, new database, and everything works fine?

Re: Starting over..

EDIT! Kevin, I don't think that will work for me? You see, when trying to use the Q&A function etc... I am getting a database error. I installed a fresh version, everything works fine. So I can only assume that there is a bug in the current database? Would your method still work do you think? Thanks

Starting over..

I would like to make a complete fresh install of phpBB, and then just move all posts, forums and users across from an existing board to the fresh install. Is this possible to do by making a backup of the old forum and then simply restoring the the files via admin CP into the new forum? If so, what p...

Fatal error whilst trying to use recaptcha or Q&A?

I have just upgraded the forum to the latest version of phpBB and all went well. However, I cannot seem to be able to use either Recaptcha or the Q&A feature? I configure both, but I get the following error message when I try to enable them: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhaust...

Re: Really quick question(s)!

Thanks Kevin. The "ranks" thing, I know how they work, however; what I want to do is create different groups that have different roles on the board (which I have done), but I want the members of the different group to have their associated group name under their user name. I don't think the "ranks" ...

Really quick question(s)!

I'm sur this is so obvious, but I can't find it! I have created two new user groups, but I can not get the name of the group to appear in the users profile when they post (like "site admin") does below my avatar. So how can I get the forum to display the "New Group" below the group members avatar? S...

Adding text to the right of the logo.

The style is based on prosilver, how do I add text to the right of the logo, like in the image?

Thanks

Private one to one forums?

I'm sure I once saw a topic for this, but cannot find it.

Is it possible to set up a forum where members can post a topic that is only readable between the original poster and mods? A bit like the "ticket" system VB has.

Thanks in advance. :)
