Re: Applications

That would be amazing, yes. I'm just a Standard Admin., so I can't install it (though I wouldn't know how to even if I could...). I'll pass it on to the Founder of my board.

Thanks so much. <3

Applications

I would love to be able to use applications, Would it be possible to get access to the Applications form you use here for Junior Validators? Or is that a no-no?

Example: Apply for the Junior Style Validators Team

Re: Secret Ballot Forum

Why not just allow voting in polls but not allow any posting? Well, first, the polls are broken on my forum due to the style being outdated for the Board version. Secondly, people could make more accounts and skew the vote in their favour, could they not? That's why we started making votes like thi...

Secret Ballot Forum

Is it possible to allow someone to post in a certain forum, but not let them see any of the posts that are made there? We want to hold an election for our Moderators in a democratic style, and as such, we want the votes to be secret, is there any way to accomplish this (aside from having votes submi...

Re: how to add new catagory?

On the Manage Forums page you can press the green cog next to the category title to edit it, then change the name which is marked by "Forum name:". As ric323 said, you need to make sure that the category's permissions have been set to allow anyone to see it before you can have it on your o...

Re: a couple of questions

I'm only a standard Admin. so I'm not sure what exactly you are able to do to the main board, but the Founder on my board has put a link to his forum at the top of the page just under the main graphic. Would you be able to set it up like the phpBB FAQ page?

Re: Cannot disapprove posts

yes an admin automaticly is a mod. An administrator can only administrate (i.e. via the ACP). ^ Have you given yourself any moderator powers? Putting yourself into the "Global moderators" group would be a good start. Personally, I just gave gave the Administrator group full Moderator stat...

Re: Removing Moderators in Board Index

You mean the legend from the bottom of the page, or the list of Forum Moderators per forum? In the ACP on the GENERAL tab under "Board Features" there's an option to disable the display of Moderators, this will remove the little line under each forum title telling you who is Moderating it....

Re: Cannot disapprove posts

Are you in a group you have set the "Approve Posts" permission to NEVER? Go into the ACP, then to the PERMISSIONS tab, on the left hand side scroll down and press "View Global Moderation Permissions". Search your name, and next to the "Can approve posts" permission (fir...

Re: Is multi-quote possible in phpBB?

So, all the posts would have a check box next to them, and you would check the ones you want to quote. Not a bad idea.

Re: Usergroup colour problems

So I need access to files and such. Well, at the moment, the person who started our board has gone inactive, and has yet to give me full Administrative permissions. When he does, I will follow your advice and let you know.

Thank you.
