Re: Help with bannger/logo and background.

Ha ha, thanks, I'll try that. It's a lot less code than I deleted before, when it didn't work.

Re: Help with bannger/logo and background.

I've worked out the background, much like the banner. Just need to remove the forum name text, and get a cool new background!

That's enough for now, going to bed!

Re: Help with bannger/logo and background.

Ok, I tired removing the text I thought was responsible for the forum name and description, as mentioned elsewhere and the result was nasty. This is my code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1...

Re: Help with bannger/logo and background.

Ok, I managed to move the search bar down with the help of another thread. What's the cleanest way to remove the text with the forum name and description, so I can just use the banner?

Re: Help with bannger/logo and background.

Since posting and being approved I've worked out the banner part, yay!!!

We need to work on a more permanent solution, and I need to remove those links.

Help with bannger/logo and background.

Hi everyone, I upgraded my forum to 3.08 using Abrasive as a style. Previously there was no banner or background image, I was running on V2 hosted for free. Now, with a little more control I'd like to add a few touches. Looking in the APC I thought I had the banner/logo thing worked out as I substit...

Abrasive style - missing some buttons

I am liking the Abrasive style I chose when I upgraded my forum but I've noticed some buttons missing. For every user there doesn't seem to be a "quote" type button to reply directly to a post. Also, as an admin, there used to be a button to edit a post. Is it possible to get either of those back? T...

Profiles on left - missing config files in KB article

Hi, I recently upgraded my forum from a 2.x release to 3.08 and have chosen Abrasive as my style. Still getting used to it and the first thing I and my members wanted to fix was having the member info (avatars etc) back on the left, as before. I found this KB article, http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article...
