Re: Highlight unread posts broken in 3.3.1

First things first, that extension is marked as Abandoned so I'd question why anyone would have it installed and enabled on a production board.

Second, you might be able to fix it yourself using the information provided from phpBB • [3.2][3.3][RC] Extension .yml check.

Re: My board has no FAQ page?

Also check to ensure the .htaccess file is present in the board's root folder because it contains the instructions to make the routing system work.

Re: PHPBB3.3 To 3.3.1 - Installing Update

If you have problems with a extension you have to ask in the extension support topic. It's not an extension issue, it's a post upgrade issue, this only came about after going to 3.3.1 today. If this isn't the post upgrade discussion thread then I apologise Known issue, [PHPBB3-16568] Problem with d...

Hello

In mobile my site layout looks very strange and not sorted, looks so messy.
How to fix it ?
What version of phpBB are you using and what style? It would be helpful to provide a link to your site to others can check what "not sorted, looks so messy" means?

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.3.1 Release

Modify the hash value for the files you have changed in stylesheet.css. This can be as simple as appending a 0 or any other alphanumeric character to the hash. Thanks. BTW, I would suggest that although they are tagged as minor, the following are new or improved functionality that admins might want...

Re: Update to 3.3 is hanging after upload of changed files

What method did you follow to upgrade? You mention I uploaded the change files. but that's generally used only for a dot release update, i.e. between 3.2.4 and 3.2.5. Going from 3.2.4 to 3.3.x is an upgrade not an update. The recommended method is Upgrading from 3.2 to 3.3 . Steps 2 and 3 are critic...

Re: CPanel cron not triggering phpBB system cron

We have a 3.3.0 board with very little traffic. Outgoing mail sits in queue.php for a long time waiting for board activity. There is a setting in ACP->Server settings that you could use. phpBB - cron settings.JPG As shown in the image, change Run periodic tasks from system cron: to Yes and then cre...

Re: Getting the unsupported php version error message

There are some nuances to how Bluehost supports multiple PHP versions. Start with How To Change Your PHP Version - PHP Config Guide - Bluehost But also be aware that if you have command line access, Most hosting providers allow you to run multiple versions of PHP, so you could use something like php...

Thanks team for all the effort in getting this one completed and released. I've downloaded the update and have been localhost (CentOS 8) testing the update from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1 and things have gone smoothly. Thank you for chiming in John. We actually got that list from your site a while ago, so thank you. I see we need to update ours again too with your current one. Thanks.

I, and others IIRC, have previously linked Blocking aggressive Chinese crawlers/scrapers/bots - John Large .co.uk (current rules). I've had this implemented since late 2019 on our shared hosting plan and to the best of our knowledge it has only improved our member and lurker (guests) experience. I'd...
