Adding MetaData

Trying to add Metadata on my website which I did add to the overall_header.html file however it still doesn't show up on the website.

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.3 Release

Will extensions from 3.2.2 still work with 3.2.3 or do I have to wait another year for people to update all the extensions I use? This is one of my biggest complaints about phpbb. Been debating on converting to different board software.

Can't reinstall my forum

My old VPS server crashed and i'm trying to reinstall it on my new VPS but i'm stuck where I'm not getting this error when you visit the website [phpBB Debug] PHP Warning: in file [ROOT]/phpbb/db/driver/mysqli.php on line 255: mysqli_fetch_assoc(): Couldn't fetch mysqli_result [phpBB Debug] PHP Warn...

Re: Newly registered users issue

Well I was able to at least keep members with fewer than 1 post out of other forums with this extension but it would be nice if PHPBB could do that itself without such use of 3rd party extensions.

Re: Newly registered users issue

Newly Registered users are also at all times members of the Registered users group. Therefore, if you want to block nru's from doing something, you must use Never permissions for that group. No's will be overridden by Yeses from the Registered users group. I noticed that but I'm not sure how to lim...

Do the forums have the newly registered user access permission applied to them?
Yes. I also set this in the settings but new members never get forced into the group!

Newly registered users issue

I have an issue where the permissions I setup for Newly registered users isn't getting applied to users who are in that group by default. Users who are in "Newly registered users" are being given full permissions as if they were a registered user even though they aren't.. I have checked pe...

Re: Extentions crash site

Taking in account that almost any board action crashes you site, you could try disabling the sql_mode=only_full_group_by MySQL server mode (if you can't, try asking your HSP). I'll try seeing if I can do that. Btw this is a self hosted linux box I setup. You are a genius! I did this to permanently ...

Is the reseller server you're using also using cpanel for administration?

Re: SSL Certificate

Installing a SSL Cert involves a CSR request and some other steps. Likely whoever your host is will have to install it for you unless they allow you to do it through cpanel like Mick said.

Re: Move Topic crashes site

I'm not stumping for them, and certainly don't get paid, but 1&1 web hosting has been solid for me since 2005. Pretty cheap too. Thanks for the information & I may look into 1&1 but for now I moved the site back to my old reseller server and it works fine. Lesson learned. Do not use Nam...

Re: Move Topic crashes site

So NameCheap claims it is a problem with add-on domains in cpanel so I bought yet another hosting account (different server) with my forum being the parent domain and the issue still happens. I think I'm gonna have to go back to my old reseller server and just keep paying for that. Anybody need some...

Re: Move Topic crashes site

I too am having the same issue on 3.2.0. My install is naked with no third party extensions. I am using namecheap as a host and their "value" hosting option. OP, are you using the same host? Hopefully that helps us narrow down if this is a host related issue. I am using NameCheap for a ho...
