first - this error has nothing to do with phpbb it has everything to do with your web browser. if i'm not mistaken your using an older version of a netscape browser and your not recieving the headers from your server quick enough and it times out. your error should be X-Pad: avoid browser bug vs wha...

ok your server probally doesn't have reverse DNS lookup enabled or some sort of host name logging. those are the ip address's and you can find out where they are located by using something similar to visual trace route. i believe you can use this site to find out where they are from: http://www.dnss...

the file is to large to post at once. you need to open the backup in notepad and begin pasting it at about 400 - 1000 lines per post. simply copy and paste it in phpmyadmin in the tab labeled SQL once your viewing your phpbb database files this large can not be posted to 99.9% of web servers out the...

if you are talking about uploading avatars make sure you have your permisisons set correctly on the upload directory

generally images/avatars/upload

set the permissions to 666 or 777

otherwise you need to be much more descriptive in your problems.

if you have your own server or some sort of advanced control panel (like cPanel) you should have the ability to block the IP block that continually signs up. for example you could block 192.168.*.* and every machine on that network would be denied access to your domain. another way is to use .htacce...

i believe you will need a mod, however - i don't know which one or if one exists.

I know that you can do this for a certain sections but i'm not sure about individual posts.

someone may know more than i do about it so i would continue to monitor this thread.

first thing i would do is rename your cookie then have the users clear their cookie cache through IE / firefox etc.

also make sure you have the latest version of phpBB installed for maximum security / stability.

hope that helps.
