Re: 5 days trying to solve this. please help :(

Will not go anywhere like this...

Code: Select all

$re = mysql_query('SHOW VARIABLES LIKE "%character_set%";')or die(mysql_error());
while ($r = mysql_fetch_assoc($re)) {var_dump ($r); echo "<br />";} exit;
What is the output of the above when you hook it somewhere into your code?

Well yes, but you can download it and extract the files and DB dump from the tar.bz2, tgz or what it is packed like, or not? :?:

Would the way i've mentioned in my 2nd post work better?
No idea how cpanel backup looks, if it were a sane one you would get raw sql dump of the DB out of which you could easily extract the relevant table in a text editor without all the hassle.

Re: Auto MOD Issues

Well, as a quick hack, perhaps backup all the files (do not forget to include the store/mods dir, force-install all the mods, restore the files backup? After that, you'd need to figure how to "untaint" the mods DB since most of the mods will be marked as force-installed, but that it a relatively min...

Kinda difficult without access to ACP, huh? :roll:

@OP: Go to store/mods/broken_mod_name/_backups and restore the original files.

(Obviously replace broken_mod_name with whatever you installed that caused this.)

Re: Allowing users to show or hide their date of birth

As said above. If you still have issues with that, you can try something like: <!-- IF AGE and memberrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_NAME eq "Hide Age" and memberrow.custom_fields.PROFILE_FIELD_VALUE eq 0 --> ... <!-- ENDIF --> for stuff involving memberlist; or <!-- IF AGE and postrow.custom_fields...

Well, then go create them in ACP an it will work perfectly fine. Sigh. Why are you making things such incredibly complicated?!
