Re: Uninstalling Mods using Automod

For your information, I uninstalled AutoMOD 1.0.0.2 with no errors. The database table: phpbb_mods was successfully removed.

Re: Error Listing Modification Details (postgreSQL)

I can see your point. Copying files from en/ to en_us/ (my environment) has no problem of understanding the content. In other languages, this is not the case.

Re: Error Listing Modification Details (postgreSQL)

Good guess. I'm on a dedicated server with a customized configuration. Thanks for the insight.

Re: Error Listing Modification Details (postgreSQL)

That's good information. I was not aware that additional server configuration (beyond setting file permissions) was needed. "Some times it won't copy any files" does not give me confidence. Combined with the uncertainty of postgreSQL (see Uninstalling Mods using Automod ) and only having 2 mods, I t...

Re: Uninstalling Mods using Automod

Yes, our server admin has a need to stay with postgreSQL. We switched from MySQL to postgreSQL when we upgraded the board from 2.xx to 3.09. This experience gave me an appreciation on the difficulties of database conversion. I am now seeing another perspective of database incompatibility. Thanks for...

When I completed testing, I uninstalled the mod. The uninstall was successful, but database was not changed. The mo...

Re: Error Listing Modification Details (postgreSQL)

Yes, it works on my localhost install. Thank you. I have some concerns to uninstall but will discuss that in Uninstalling Mods using Automod . I am not sure if AutoMOD 1.0.0.2 is working correctly. It failed to copy the language files from languages/en (install language) to languages/en_us (American...

Re: Uninstalling Mods using Automod

I was not expecting this answer. During the install process, it appeared to be using a diff/patch process to insert the changes. I assumed that uninstalling mods runs the diff/patch in the reverse direction, as diff/patch is designed to do. If this is not the case, I need to think again on using Aut...
