Identify the Topic Author under the Avatar

Does an extension exist which identifies the topic author inside a post? When viewing long topics, it is very easy to lose track of the topic author. Highlighting the author, such as displaying "Topic Author", under the avatar would be very useful. I am looking for a phpBB 3.2.x extension that is si...

Re: Weird BBCode parsing?

Parsing is also tricked by BBCode "quote":

Code: Select all

[quote a statement here]
For example:

Code: Select all

The statement is on the next line:
[quote a statement here]
The statement is on the previous line.
Displays as:

The statement is on the next line:
The statement is on the previous line.

I then re-enabled each extension and the problem has not reappeared. I don't understand why extensions which have no interactions with post ...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.2 Release

I have just updated my localhost test PC from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 with no issues. May I request a clarification of Known issues in 3.2.2 ? It was not clear to me when the modifications should be performed. I propose the following revision. From: In the initial release phase we've noticed two issues that ...

Re: Pruning Non-activated Users

The inactive list does not contain the names of activated users who have not logged in in a long time. It contains only those who were never activated, or those who were in activated by the admin. The only way users with posts could be in the inactive list is if you inactivated them. ^^^ Thank you ...

Re: Database update from 3.1.10 to 3.2.1 broken (PostgreSQL)

I have successfully updated my production server to 3.2.1.

My blank screen problem repeated (after the database update).

I wanted to update this topic, as it's important to mention that restarting the memcache service fixed the problem - not apache or postgreSQL as described in my previous post.

Re: Database update from 3.1.10 to 3.2.1 broken (PostgreSQL)

Based on earlier problems with memcache, I modified config.php to use the default $acm_type driver during the database update. <?php // phpBB 3.0.x auto-generated configuration file // Do not change anything in this file! $dbms = 'postgres'; $dbhost = 'localhost'; $dbport = ''; $dbname = 'phpBB32'; ...

Re: [HOW TO] Change your logo in 3.2.x

After a style code change, you must always clear the system cache.

Administration Control Panel --> General --> Purge the cache

phpBB has a copy of the current style in its cache. Clearing the system cache will tell phpBB to recognize your change and to rebuild the new style.

Re: Global Announcement, 'Stick topic for:' value not remembered?

I can create a sticky using the "Change to "sticky" moderator actions drop-down list at the bottom of the page. The same for "Change to announcement". I can also "Change topic type to:" to any of (Normal Sticky Announce Global) when I manually edit the post. When I change the "Stick topic for:" days...

Re: Basic knowledge for php?

Hello, Yes, you must "know a little", but the knowledge must span across many topics. The questions you ask ( Search user’s posts ) suggest you are missing a basic understanding of: - Databases - PHP language - hosting services - apache - computer security <--- very important The best way to learn t...
