Re: Where's the Salt Stored?

I'll have a look through the code and see if I can work it out, but before I post any results, why are you interested in where the salt is stored in the first place?

Re: Registered users can not see "New Topic"

Most likely is a permission issue. Do you use the newly registered group? If so, is this set to only 1 post before they are removed from it?

If not, ensure that registered users have permissions in the other forums

Re: Maybe I'm missing it...

Assuming you only want the posts from 1 forum to display, and only the first post in each topic, such as a news forum: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=2267161

Re: Getting Members to read rules ?

This may sound complicated but it would be possible. Based off the "user needs to change password" thing, you could set a flag that says the user must read the rules. If checked, it would direct them to the rules page instead of the index and then they'd have to check an "i agree" box before they ge...

Ah ok. Well telling it to load a template file when it doesn't display anything seem to have helped so thanks :)

Re: Getting 503 error on hosting but not on localhost

I am getting this: <div id="content"> <h1>General Error</h1> <div>template->set_filenames: Empty filename specified for body</div> Weird I'm not even getting that. I'll try setting a body filename on filedownload but it shouldn't actually be needed. What browser did you use to get that may I ask?

Getting 503 error on hosting but not on localhost

I've been trying to work this out for a while and can't for the life of me get it. I'm making a download thing for phpbb (3.0 just now), and uploading and everything is fine. The file stores etc. What i'm having problems with is file downloading. I know my download function is being called perfectly...

Re: phpbb3 login after password change

I don't know the solution, but if you're allowing users to login to an external page, why not just have them change password via the UCP?

Re: Where's the Salt Stored?

The only time it'd work is if the salt was exactly the same on both accounts. And dehashing isn't the correct term. When you login on phpbb it essentially does the following: 1. Check database for username existing. 2. If it does, get the salt for that account 3. Salt and hash the password you enter...

Re: getting sql error never happened before please help.

Why wouldn't it work? When you have the exact MYSQL DB with with the exact filesystem that worked perfectly at a certain point in time, there is no reason why it shouldn't work if totally recalled. This would include any permission settings. Can you elaborate further? Because contrary to popular be...

Re: Sidebar development

Can you provide me the code? PHP: $sql = "SELECT * FROM " . POSTS_TABLE .
