Re: [RC] Rayth's Content Management System

Can't for the life of me work out why this is happening. It works perfectly on my home local server so I'm going to have to inspect the hosting server to see what the issue is. Weird thing is that my download code is almost identical to the attachment download code so maybe i just need to modify tha...

Re: Problem

Do you get any errors when installing with automod?

Alot of mods require an external installer to be used after running automod. If this is needed automod tells you at the top of the page. Do you remember to do this?

Re: class="edit-icon" - which css file ?

To answer your previous question:

phpBB cache's the theme and template, so if you edit the CSS files, you need to refresh theme to delete the theme cache, and if you edit the template html files you need to do "purge cache" from the ACP home to delete those.

Re: Sidebar development

You'd have to connect to the database and get them from there using SQL etc.

I done it with my CMS MOD to get the last 5 posts on a forum.

To do this, you'd have to put code in a new php file to gather the information and include it in common.php, or edit common.php and put the code in there.

Re: Impact on performance of hosting on the wrong continent

Personally from my experience, I've found that server/host location doesn't matter for things such as basic websites. If you were say, running a game server, then the difference would be noticeable in the 'ping' of each of the players. At the same time though, if a user has a fast enough connection,...

Re: [RC] Rayth's Content Management System

1.3.1

In order to fix the issue of requiring a complete uninstall to update to 1.3.0, I have now completed 1.3.1. This version can be placed on any previous version and will work fine. Please use this rather than 1.3.0

Re: class="edit-icon" - which css file ?

That's a difficult question to answer specifically, so I suggest you look at the css files for the style you are using, and do a search for .edit-icon

Classes always have a period before the name in CSS.

Upload functions?

After creating a whole new MOD which involves uploading files, I get the following in MPV: The upload functions included in phpBB should be used instead. Anyone have a guide on using the phpBB functions for file uploads? This all happens in the ACP. I also got a fail for using htmlspecialchars() but...

I now have it completed and working. But I magically broke my website and either need to fix it without ftp or go somewhere I can access the FTP lol.

In the meantime, looking to setup a test board which will display this MOD. Kinda proud of this one :)

Please...
