Re: Submitting translations for official extensions does not work well

Because translators - as well as extension authors - often deliver something only once and with no update, I have to agree with HifiKabin. It is better to offer translations separately where there is no permanent cooperation. It makes no difference whether it is an official or private extension.

Thanks, Matt That could be a group permission problem of your server - PHP uses as Apache Modul - try to change the own...

Re: Known issues in 3.2.4

I agree - it would be better to release a patched update 4.2.4. Most of the language packs aren't outside today, so the main group of people does not have downloaded this version yet. I don't think it is funny to answer hundreds of unnecessary support requests depending on this early known bugs.

Re: Upgrade failed due to SQL error (3.0.12 > 3.2.4)

if you are able to define additional databases and subdomains on your server, you can create a mirror of your live board and use it for tests.

Re: Copy extensions to production forum

Extension update: deactivate it (NOT delete data), upload the new version (may be you need to delete the old files before), activate it. Update ready.

Re: Necessity for 777 permissions in phpbb?

the cache directory can be emptied by the (site)owner but it cannot be deleted, That may be due to ownership rather than permissions. it may depend on which PHP module is used. There are significant differences in ownership between "PHP as Apache module (mod_php)", uses Apache permissions, and "PHP...

Re: Amazon hack?

A few days ago I tested the effectiveness of an error page. For this purpose, I entered an address in the browser that does not exist on my page. The server log showed me the same call a minute later. From an address that belongs to Amazon. I did not visit Amazon and I was not logged in. But the sta...
