Re: [BETA] k0nsl URL Shortener

Yes, no offense, I thought you were playing a joke on me or something...but fine, I'll explain it. No worries :D With this modification applied whenever a link is posted that isn't part of your own domain, for example: somebody includes the below link in a post: https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...

Re: [BETA] k0nsl URL Shortener

Hi,

Automatically shortened links. Of course, it won't shorten any links from your own domain - only external links. But that can be changed easily should somebody want to shorten their own links, as well.

It works quite well.

Faithfully,

[BETA] k0nsl URL Shortener

I needed a simple way to shorten URLs for a client, so I looked at already available modifications and found a old one by trkodlama . Did some minor changes to it, but nothing major yet. His/her modification can be found here: [RC] Togl URL Shortener Now for getting this to work (oh, and by the way;...

Re: [BETA] StopForumSpam Hook

Yep, will look into making this better. I just needed something like this quickly in combination with other anti-spam tricks :) If you want, feel free to contribute with any code via GitHub (or here, if you'd like - but its easier to keep track via GH): https://github.com/k0nsl/phpBB-SFS-hook Best w...

Re: [BETA] StopForumSpam Hook

Yes, that's right. Perhaps check if there are more occurrences than only one. But that still would be dodgy because, as you note, anybody can add anyone to SFS. I have had people telling me that a lot of spam registrations were stopped this way. And I also noted this in the code: If you think this i...

Google BBCode

A BBCode to create a link like this: http://rawupload.org/pm/8UUH/k0nsl-google-bbcode01.html (screenshot) You would use it like this: [google="k0nsl"]k0nsl[/google] So what does it? It will just generate a link (like the one shown in the screenshot) with a query to Google. I'm not sure in what condi...

Re: [ALPHA] Pretty URLs

I look into my logs and I still encounter quite a lot of this: open() "/path/to/forum/t7843-.html" failed (2: No such file or directory) open() "/path/to/forum/t7843-_30.html" failed (2: No such file or directory) Et cetera. I can't localize what's causing it. One user reported this: Yes, this occur...

Re: [BETA] StopForumSpam Hook

That's true. I might look into adding more variables. However, this weeds out quite a lot of spam, especially when combined with a good Q&A. -k0nsl It shouldn't work just on IP. I think a mix of multiple variables should be used(configurable), ie email, ip or username. Considering the fact that many...

[BETA] StopForumSpam Hook

This hook will query the database of SFS and check if the IP is listed. If it comes back positive, then the user is notified about it, and the application exits. Code (hook_stop_forumspam.php): <?php /** * Copyright (C) 2013 by k0nsl (i.am@k0nsl.org) */ /** * @ignore */ if (!defined('IN_PHPBB')) { e...

Re: Hook: Auto Anonymize

Okay, so I tried my theory of echoing the JS bit in the function hook_inject_anonymizer and whilst this indeed works, its not quite working the way I want it to, because it inserts the code at the very top of each page (i.e before the doctype declaration). I'll try to fiddle some more with it, but I...
