Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

Kindly telling me to click into that would have worked a lot better than being rude. I had done so before, but it's hard to figure out.

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

Could you give me the path for that, I'm not sure where to start. Not having any success getting to the destination on my own. Thanks.

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

Just so you know, it still doesn't work to try and make it invisible to guests. It just gives me the hodge-podge effect of some forums hidden, and some showing.

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

I set Anonymous to be in the Guest group, but it didn't change anything. Then I set all Guests to No Access, but when I checked it as a guest, I could view and read all forums. :?

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

Select Anonymous User is as far as it takes me. I don't see any Groups after that, but what does this Anonymous thing mean?

Also, it says they have posted 11 times, so how do I see their posts? On the other forum, there is also this same result, but with no posts.

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

I have set this message board so that guests cannot view: http://www.thebeatlesneverexisted.com/mb I did it by setting Guests to "All No". But look what happens when I copy over the same settings to this board: http://www.thebeatlesneverexisted.com/ctrn A hodgepodge of different results. A...

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

The best I can explain it is, when I set each category for No Access to Guests, some show up and some don't. Some are just "stacked" on top of each other with no forums showing, while others show the forums, and those can be clicked into and read by guests. I re-enabled it, maybe you'll se...

Re: Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

It got so incredibly messed up by my trying to make things invisible that I've disabled it.
http://www.thebeatlesneverexisted.com/ctrn

Members can still use it by logging in, but guests cannot view.

Making Forums Unviewable to Guests

I searched through old posts about this, and tried following the instructions, but this isn't working for me. What I want is for guests to be able to read the Index Page, but if they click on any forums, I want those to be unviewable. I've tried both: guests see forum = yes guests read forum = no an...

Re: Welcome PM

I really don't know what the name is, but it's what a person gets via email to welcome them as a new member, however on my board it sends itself out when they apply for membership. It doesn't wait to see if I approve them first. I figured out it's in ACP>General>Board Settings. The Site Name has to ...

Re: Welcome PM

I don't know what you mean by "mod". This is something that came with my board, not something I installed myself. I just can't find where to reconfigure the subject heading of it. Also, it sends out this message when a person requests to join. It doesn't even wait to see if I approve their...

Re: Welcome PM

I don't find the answer to my question there, just a long list of threads that don't deal with what I'm experiencing.

Re: Welcome PM

not that much clear?

I'm wanting to know how to find the Welcome PM in my ACP so I can put my site's name between the quotation marks. Right now, when a welcome letter is sent out, all it says is Welcome to " "
