Re: How to enable font colour

It appears I don't have the file you're talking about? I've written hostgator to see if they can help check on this.

I don't see editor.js

Re: How to enable font colour

Just like the previous time, I had my host server - hostgator.com - do the upgrade for me. The Font colour button has always been there ever since I first downloaded the program more than 2 years ago, but even after 2 recent upgrades, it doesn't work, and never has since the beginning.

Re: How to enable font colour

Yes, of course the button itself is there, but it doesn't "do" anything when I click it. Unlike the youtube button, when I click it, it puts the text into the place where I'm typing my message, and I supply the code. However, even though the youtube button was always there, I had to place a code int...

How to enable font colour

Is there a certain code I'm supposed to enter somewhere to make this work? All I have on my forum right now is black text.

What is that little "c" beside the Font colour button? What's an "inline code"? Do I need to enable that, too?

Re: [split from] Preventing Spam in phpBB3

Thank you. I've upgraded to the latest version 3.0.12, so now we wait. I've left it on captcha phrase, and if I need to try the q&a, I will. I'll probably know soon if this has fixed the problem or not.

Re: Full, Entire Path to Embed a YouTube

Thank you, it is working now, though that is a lot of steps. On some forums, just the url at the top can be copy/pasted between the tags. The "youtube" button was already showing, btw, and it would show the words in the post, but I just didn't know what to paste in between. I thought we had to paste...

Re: [split from] Preventing Spam in phpBB3

I tried going through the process twice, but still get the error message that the plugin cannot be selected as its requirements have not been met. :?: I only find one language installed.

Re: Full, Entire Path to Embed a YouTube

I do appreciate so many people trying to help with this, but the most confusing thing is when several people chime in with answers, and they're all different. Here's what it looks like right now in my ACP: http://www.thebeatlesneverexisted.com/ytcode1a.jpg Doesn't whatever I place into "HTML replace...

Re: [Discuss] Preventing Spam in phpBB3

That doesn't answer my question, but anyway, when I use Captcha, I get many, many spam registrations. They register with scrambled usernames that, when unscrambled, are insults directed at my forum.

[split from] Preventing Spam in phpBB3

Why does it tell me I cannot select Q&A because I 'don't meet requirements'?

Full, Entire Path to Embed a YouTube

I've spent a lot of time looking at the archives about how to embed a YouTube, have tried them all, and none work. So far, I understand I'm supposed to do something in the BBCode of my Admin panel, but I do not understand any of this jargon. What does "{SIMPLETEXT}" mean? What do I change this 'to',...

Installing New Forum

I just downloaded the 3.0.11 package and unzipped everything. Now it appears I must go to the control panel of my hosting site and painstakingly upload each and every file, one by one by one by one, which will probably take hours.

Or, is there a simpler way I just don't know about?

Re: Staying Logged In

Found it, already set to "Yes" for persistent log-ins. The option doesn't even appear by the login boxes anymore. A lot of things on my board have never worked, but that wasn't one of them until yesterday's visit.
