Re: Disable short URL like in 3.1

So, I'm guess I need to get help from the community for hacking the files myself then. Source: 1. {somelongurl} 2. {somelongurl} 3. {somelongurl} 4. sometext Current behavior (IMHO wrong): 1. {some...url} 2. {some...url} 3. {some...url} 4....

Re: Disable short URL like in 3.1

I did and I got the door slammed in my face "This change was intentional", ticket closed, referring to a discussion that goes over my head about regexes.

Re: Disable short URL like in 3.1

I'm not sure why it would be intended behavior. There's no way to display the full URL of the link people are going to click on the way it is now. It's fine to magically shorten if just placed in text, but if a poster explicitly indicates it's a URL then it shouldn't be shortened. This behavior has...

Disable short URL like in 3.1

I recently migrated from 3.1 to 3.2 and something I rely on heavily changed: Previously, when wrapping a URL in [ url ] tags it would retain the full displayed URL and make a link of it. v3.2 however doesn't do this anymore and shortens the URL no matter if it's wrapped or not, removing this alterna...

Re: queue.php issue: not being processed.

Nothing has changed -- we run our own VPS. It seems to be related to how many notifications are being sent. Our traffic has increased, and if a large number of notifications are triggered at once, it seems to lock up the queue. So, I had it working again after deleting the queued notifications, up t...

queue.php issue: not being processed.

Hi folks, I don't know what happened to my phpbb installation but apparently it now refuses to process /cache/queue.php -- messages have not been e-mailed out and are happily queued there. I've tried using both sendmail and direct SMTP settings, in case there was an issue actually delivering mail, b...

Re: Unable to reconfigure after move (form invalid)

I can confirm that reverting that commit has solved (as far as i can tell) my ACP woes. Was this not tested before release?

Re: Unable to reconfigure after move (form invalid)

I'm going to manually back out the changes in [ticket/14789] Further harden ACP link and form checks since it looks like that will fix my immediate problem, and it looks like that already falls under proper protection being inside the ACP.

Unable to reconfigure after move (form invalid)

I'm in the process of moving my forum to a new host. As part of that I need to reconfigure things and recreate the search index, and other misc things and I keep running into very nondescript errors in the ACP: The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again. This is a big issue. Without reconf...

How do I disable the update notification?

Considering 3.2 IMHO is a big step in the wrong direction (in looks as well as functionality, not to mention creating work to migrate nobody has time for), and would not at all benefit our community, I have no interest in upgrading to it. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I see no option in t...

Re: Creating a read-only static copy of a phpBB installation

So this is to enhance performance? It's to enhance both security and performance. Our current setup allows both http and https for full use (with the notes below) and we want to restrict http use for logged-in users. The performance-enhancing part is the caching which becomes possible when it's no ...
