Re: Update Standard Profile Fields

Actually I would prefer to kick out all the standard fields and improve the functionality of the custom fields.

Nowadays the Quality of the browsers resizing is sufficient.

500 Server-Error posting.php after installing new Template

Never had such a Problem before... After switching to a new template, sometimes (about 10%) an 500 Internal Server Error occours when sending a post or a pn. I have a subSilver2 based template in my board and I'm working on a new one (inherits from proSilver). If I switch to the old one everything w...

Re: mysql_num_rows() and phpbb

Hmmm yes of course, but it would be a very VERY nice feature for me. I use phpBB as a framework for (almost) all my web projects. So I'm thankful for everything that is implemented in a general way.

Re: mysql_num_rows() and phpbb

Would be really cool if you add a database-neutral function to count rows in the DB-class like $db->count_rows() or something like that. I use phpBB as a framework and sometimes I really miss this function.

Re: Discuss: Blog post about phpBB 3.0.6 plans

I always thought that 3.0.x releases are just handling bugfixes and security issues and new features will end up in a new major verison?

So... why not going to 3.2?

Sorry, if this has been discussed before... I got no time for reading dozens of I-Wanna-Have-This-And-That-Postings...

Posts from deleted useres won't be converted

I tried several times... All worked fine... but the postings of deleted useres in the old board ((2.0.22 plain vanilla, 8500 posts) are simply missing in the 3.0-Board.

Any ideas, how to fix this problem?

Thanks a lot
Best regards and merry christmas

Install and Permissions of Admin-User

The installing of the board seems to work fine. But instead of the "final stage" part I see just a white screen. The tables in DB are created correctly but the permissions for the Admin-User are not set. I can log in but there are neither forums nor can I go to acp... Config: Win XP SP2 Apache 2.0.5...

Does anyone have an estimated amount of time the conversion will take? I am thinking about switching but only if its not a pain in the ass. If this helps my board has 2000+ members and 8000+ posts. The converting itself is not the major problem.... With installation, backups and converting etc. I w...

Sorry, it was my fault... I merged two boards (vbulletin and phpBB) and the forum is running on two domains with different permissions for guest users. This one will work: http://www.klassik-musiker.de/musiker-forum/einsinguebungen-t5661.html Testaccount is: user: "phpbb" password: "test" (I hope so...

Hi Dicky. Only for Information (no, I need no support): I had some problems with false set QUOTE-BBCodes (by User) that are smashing my Layout: Example (I let this thread persist for you) http://www.2sound.de/musiker-forum/einsinguebungen-t5661.html (opening a quote tag without closing it). The prob...

Conversion went fine, but unfortunetly i cannot login ? Is there a normal problem? Coz I just read that the password conversion was not included with this conversion. Can i change the admin password through the database? No, the passwords are saved as MD5-Hash. You could use a small PHP-script to g...
