I have been looking for something like this FOREVER, because I want about 20 people to sign up for the members section & then others will have to be invited.

Excellent mod!

Is there a way to remove it altogether, so that the new user only has to fill in their registration info?

Actually, so far every case of this I have investigated from someone claiming to be on 2.0.17 has turned out to come down to the fact that they were not running that but were running 2.0.11 or 2.0.12 era code. I've discovered that on other boards as well. Someone will say their PHPBB forum got hack...

Whoever said it's the Multi Forum Pro Host script is right. It's not free though. If I remember correctly, you have to pay somewhere between $15-25 for it.

Like I said, this is the members section & I'm using PHPBB's sessions for it. In order to see anything, including the board, people have to sign up on a page I made. Think of it as an online fanclub & you'll get the picture.

Anon - do you have to add in the search engines or is it not required?

What can I do so that Google will NOT index my board?

[The same goes for other search engines] I'm using PHPBB's sessions through part of my site [the members section.] I did some modifying so that users have to sign up on a different page. I did a test to see if anything would show up in Google, & I saw the links to the "Register" & "Send Password" pa...
