Re: Some users have recently reported issues with bbcode/smilies/and other .js features

Alright Robert thanks for the advice, I downloaded a new copy of the style to use the editor.js file. The only edit I added was for the mchat Interestingly enough, the QPBL (Quote Post Back Link Mod) - still functions without the included edits, not sure if I really need to add them, but for now I'l...

Re: Some users have recently reported issues with bbcode/smilies/and other .js features

With the test user, the posting buttons were working fine for me in IExplore, Firefox, and Chrome. Yeah, same here, I can't replicate the problem on my end, but there's a significant number of users experiencing the issue, so I don't think it's user error. I'll keep trying to gather info on what co...

Re: Some users have recently reported issues with bbcode/smilies/and other .js features

OK, perhaps the highslide files have helped on some issues.

I'm now told that the ticker is functioning on the index, and that the topic preview is working as should (didn't know that was a problem for some?).

But they tell me the bbcodes and smilies are still not functioning correctly.

Re: Some users have recently reported issues with bbcode/smilies/and other .js features

The highslide was confusing to me, but doing a google search, it looks like a mod by stoker. I do think I have that mod, but I did not put that on myself. About a 18 months ago, I had someone helping me with my mchat, and I do think I have that feature added which pops up images and videos using sto...

Some users have recently reported issues with bbcode/smilies/and other .js features

Hi, I've gotten a bunch of help over the last few years from various mods, but have never posted a support topic in this forum. Do I need to fill out a template? If so, I'll gladly do that, but otherwise I'll try to post enough info to make it work. Currently running 3.0.12 It's a heavily modified b...

There's already a working extension for that for phpBB3.1.
Interesting, I was not aware. Thank you, I'll check into it.

Re: Other users posting from this ip

How would you edit the mcp_post.php to be able to click on the matching post? Well, speaking about phpBB 3.0 unfortunately I am not willing nor I have spare time enough to investigate about that and give you the correct answer. Instead, for phpBB 3.1 you probably need an extension. Regards. Ouch!. ...

Re: Auto lock for old posts

You have to know the forum_id's of the forums you want to apply the function to. The code should be changed to $lock=time()-86400*30; $sql="update ".TOPICS_TABLE." set topic_status='".ITEM_LOCKED."' where topic_last_post_time<".$lock." AND forum_id IN (id1, id2, id3)"; $db->sql_query($sql); Replace...

Re: Restrict number of new topics, but unlimited replies

Simple way would be to put them in a group for which: New topics need approval . That might work. I'd still prefer an option which forces users to post them as replies. It saves work for the mods as the user would be the one to find the appropriate thread to add the reply to. Thanks for the response!
