The name of the logo file is: logo_phpBB.gif I find mine in my SubSilver folder uner Images. Scroll down and you should see it. Simply rename your new image the with the same name (logo_phpBB.gif) and upload it and it will automatically replace it. Someone has already posted where you can change the...

Glad to be Back !!!

After being a bit discouraged with some bugs and issues with php. I have to admit I took the temporary plunge into some other "Boards" (EZBoard, TagBoard, VBulletin, etc.). I cannot tell you how happy I am to return to php!!! Anyone getting discouraged or thinking the number of "issues" being posted...

Thanks for the quick response Drexion. My database is 1.81 mb. Looks like it is just a tad too big for the normal upload. Strange since it was a brand new board with not a lot on it but I will try what you suggested. I'll post back with the outcome. Thanks again!

Database restore help needed

My board crashed when a MOD install went bad and the author of the MOD "REFUSED" to assit me. Anyway, I did have my database backed up and I'm starting from scratch. When I go to the ACP to upload that database (2.0.11) from my computer I keep getting the message that no file was updated. The databs...

Display I.P. Address ?

I could have sworn that in version 2.0.05 that I had before I got 2.0.11, there was a way for the Administrator to display / view the I.P. addresses of members. However, I can't seem to find the path to doing this anymore. I can see the I.P. address of a member who is on-line if I go to Administrati...

Gez . . . I knew I blew this. Your answer was perfect but the error is mine. I indeed led you to believe I was talking about the "Post & Reply" buttons now that I look at my request. What I meant to have changed are the small icons at the far left that reflect things like: post locked, popular post,...

I would simply pick a very late night time or very early morning time and just do the upgrade to 2.0.11. You can announce beforehand to your Board exactly what you are doing and when. This type of time frame should really minimize the number of people being impacted. I'm sure they will understand an...

Well not to seem too simplistic in my answer, but all you really have to do is go to your Administrative Panel and place all the "batches" of folks into "groups". You can designate as many "groups" as you want and configure each group for whom you want to join and what level of participation they wi...

Post "Icons" - How to change?

I'm sure this has been covered but can anyone tell me off hand where I need to go to change the Post Icons? The ones next to all the threads on the far left. I would like to swap them out for my own. Thanks in advance.

Member Posting Quota?

I would like to know if there is any way to configure my board to automatically de-activate any member who fails to contribute by posting or replying within a set period of time. Also, if anyone knows of a "Mod" to do this.

Just to chime in on this, I've posted this same error message issue for months and I've noticed a lot of other people have as well. I too have tried every combination of SMTP settings with my hosts address, localhost and leaving it blank. Those error messages continue through new registrations, emai...

Thanks LMSX for the helpful hints and for the uplifting private message. You and I as well as a growing number of people here are experiencing the same e-mail/registration/PM issues. I see these same questions every day on every page of this forum. I think I'll stay with php for a while longer and l...
