Strange Issue with Linking Header Logo

Ok, I have the latest version 2.0.11 with no Mods. This issue is as follows. I successfully swaped the phpBB locgo in the left side of the header for my own logo of similar dimensions. My logo also has the same name as the default logo (logo_phpBB.gif). However, when I went to "overall_header.tpl" a...

Well add me to the growing list of folks having the same issue. I have a very clean board with no MODS at all. No matter what I seem to put in (or not put in) the configuration boxes for e-mail/private message handling, the debug errors continue. My host is Yahoo and anyone attempting to get intelig...

Moving Posts within a Category

I'm the Administrator of my board. I created four posts that explain the rules of my board. They are naturally listed in decending order with the last created post naturally being the first one listed. I want to be able to reverse their order and put the first post created on top. I can't seem to fi...

Permission Setting = Private?

Hi. As Site Administrator for my board I noticed a setting called "private" in addition to "all", "reg", "mod" & "admin". I'm trying to configure my registered members to be able to edit their own posts. However, I don't want visitors or OTHER registered members to be able to register a post not bel...

New Page Style & Font Changes

I downloaded and installed a few of the page styles that are available here. However, I've tried to increase the font size and change the color of the font but find I cannot for some reason. Are these templates locked "as they are" -or- is there some way to make these changes and save them? Thanks i...

Thank you AdamR !!! Finally, an intelligent comprehensive solution! It worked fine. - for the record, Yahoo has some unique coding that wouldn't allow a simple FTP upload and install to make the changes. I know it should have . . . but it didn't. That is why a "specific" path was asked for that woul...

phpbb ver. 2.05 -to- 2.10

Ok . . . I'll try this one more time. I would like to hear from anyone who has a Yahoo Webhosting account who has gone from the Yahoo provided phpbb ver 2.05 to 2.10. I need to know step-by-step how you "installed" the upgrade into File Manager. If you do "NOT" have Yahoo Webhosting and have upgrade...

Upgrade from version 2.05 to current version

Hello. I have yahoo webhosting and have installed the phpbb version 2.05 which they provide. However, I need for someone to give me the step-by-step instructions for installing the latest version. I see where to download the latest php version but don't know how to upgrade from there. One of the thi...

Open with ???

Ok...I downloaded the latest version of phpBB. Unzipped it and went to the Install folder. I have no idea what to do next. I keep getting prompted for a "program" to open the install file. What program is this? I also do not see any installation files with instructions. What now?

Email Errors

Good luck . . . I posted the other day with a very similar issue. Someone was very gracious in suggesting pretty much the same resolutions with a few others. I tried every configuration I could imagine to no avail. I was getting the same "debug" errors with Private Messaging too. I got so frustrated...
